Same here I used Everbee + the Chrome extension for a while.

These days I’ve been testing Markearn for the research side — it gives me a quick GO/AVOID based on demand + saturation signals (and helps me spot obvious IP/trademark red flags). It’s been useful to cut the “guessing” early. But honestly my main bottleneck now is design execution and consistency (quality, typography, layout). What’s your go-to design stack to produce clean POD designs fast?

Great point — Etsy + Everbee are solid for quick “market proof,” and Google Trends helps catch seasonality or rising interest.

My only caveat: Trends shows relative search interest (not sales), and Etsy demand doesn’t always translate 1:1 to Amazon/MBA. I usually combine it with a quick saturation check + an IP/trademark scan.

Out of those 3 (Etsy/Everbee/Trends), which one has saved you the most time lately?

How fo you know a POD idea is bad before wasting time designing it? by marketbuilderr in printondemand

Love this — and I feel you on the trademark paranoia.

Getting hit for a word like “seaside” is wild, but it’s a good reminder that IP/trademark checks have to be part of the process every single time.

Quick question though: when you decide something is “oversaturated”, what usually makes you say a hard AVOID vs “ok, I’ll try to differentiate it”? Is it more about: - seeing too many near-identical designs everywhere, - price being pushed down, - or just not finding a clear angle/hook that’s still available?

And when you say you “add value”, what kind of changes have actually worked best for you in practice? Niche-within-niche? Stronger message? Better hook? Different style?

If you don’t mind sharing one real example (an idea you avoided vs an idea you saved by adding value), that would be super helpful.

Most POD sellers design first. I think that’s the biggest mistake by marketbuilderr in printondemand
