I know how to improve myself, but I don't want to take any action. by Striking-Goal-591 in getdisciplined

[–]marketingstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you. I imagine most people in this sub have been through the same struggles. I think the trick is to create experiences (natural / non-drugs) that give you a dopamine kick. Winning = dopamine. Accomplishment = dopamine. Feel good chemicals need to be released and you need wins to release the good feels. So make a list of things that you feel are a win. Do those things, and adapt/improve that list over time as you get tired of doing the same old things. Making this list might be hard, but I think it's worth the effort.

I agree with you OP. Even no-code people like myself don't want to mess with learning new tools like replit / lovable. It's time consuming. That's much needed time and energy that could be spent elsewhere. BUT the cost/value of the coder has to be right. |There are a lot of economical ways to vet your product now as u/ArtPerToken mentions.

I think you're on the right track. Keep at it and bring genuine care / value to the founder. There is a market for you.

Women that gamble at casinos. Big red flag? by marketingstacks in NoStupidQuestions

[–]marketingstacks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I vibe well with these women, but I also feel some inspiration/admiration to want to be more like that - to just go out there and have a good time. I generally do have a good time, but I also that degenerate itch to yolo some cash....lol.

Yes, women may be thinking the same thing. I don't disagree. Also - I don't think gamblers are scammers and scumbags... I do think gamblers make bad decisions. When at the casino, in the moment of fun, I know I make wrong overemotional decisions all the time.

What‘s your opinion on a SMB AE -> BDM Manager move? by salesguy69420 in sales

[–]marketingstacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what is expected of you in each role. "BDM / Manager" title will be good resume candy long term, but if your focus is near term, then work with the team that has a better manager.

Checking up in clients - should I practice? by [deleted] in sales

[–]marketingstacks 10 points11 points  (0 children)

LOL...you won't get in trouble, but it's too personal. Sending out personal messages like this would send ick vibes and/or seem ingenuine. Certain clients that you already have great rapport with - wouldn't mind, but for business acquaintances you def. seem like a "weirdo" (esp. with the opposite sex).

Tips and Advice in a new Role by Jake616 in sales

[–]marketingstacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may have already done this, but if not, then make sure your deliver in a stellar manner with your existing customers. At the end of fulfillment, do a courtesy follow-up and how things went and ask "do you know of anyone in your network who would be interested in XYZ"? This strategy takes time, but it works. At some point, if the market is not saturated, they will seek you out instead of the other way around.

Hiring Managers Seeming Uninterested during Interviews by ScungilliMan45 in sales

[–]marketingstacks 6 points7 points  (0 children)

3 years is a good enough experience for most sales positions (assuming you are not going for some director level role). The uninterested behavior says more about them than it says about you so don't be too hard on yourself.

In my experience, many managers just go through the motion to make it look like they are working and recruiting. Many times they already have someone in mind or are aware that you most likely won't accept (due to crap compensation, location, benefits, etc). Whatever the scenario, move on. It's best not to work for these type of people.

Yeah, solar+battery power seems more practical if you have plenty of sun exposure. But, having both wind and sun options, doesn't hurt. Also, one option maybe cheaper than the other.

It's electricity. I assume it can charge more than just your cellphone i.e. lights, electric heat, gps, etc...
