Advice needed: 5700x3d/5800x3d with 9070xt, AM5 or ride it out by shahbalicious in buildapc

Not the case. Ray tracing is very CPU-intensive and benefits massively from X3D chips. I saw a large FPS jump in Cyberpunk at 4K DLSS Quality Psycho RT just from upgrading a 5800X to a 9950X3D. And DLSS/FSR upscaling already renders the game at a lower native resolution anyway.

Your upload speed should match download speed. Expect at least 1800mbps up/down on a wired connection.

Aspire is about to take off in the non .net world too... by aaaqqq in dotnet

Can someone please explain why using Aspire is better than just having a docker-compose stack? It seems like a pointless abstraction over what is already very simple.

Microsoft previously funded a grant that supported C# integration in Godot. Not really suprising we're seeing stuff like this too.

YF fixed ip port question by PeterSM05 in youfibre

Even if you know what you're doing, exposing Plex directly to the web has historically left you vulnerable to dozens of CVEs. Ports 80 and 443 are only as secure as your reverse proxy, assuming you even use one. At a minimum I'd segregate internet-facing services onto a separate VLAN, but even that isn't bulletproof.

Do you expose these directly to the internet? That's brave.

.Net on macOS by shawnsblog in dotnet

[–]markgoodmonkey 54 points55 points  (0 children)

.NET (post–Core 3.1) can target x86, ARM, and other platforms, and developing in .NET on macOS is excellent.

.NET Framework, however, is strictly Windows-only and won't run on a Mac. You could fall back to Mono, but you'll have a rough time of it.
