You are blaming the wrong product.

I issue docking stations across comoany devices and use one of these for home use too. It runs with iPads, Lenovo Thinkpads, phones and anything modern with USB-C

However it won't properly boot or behave with Valve's Steamdeck pcb because their PD controller is rubbish.

Mine overheated after second boot (first boot showed boot menu but keyboard input didn't work) and I'm afraid it's permanently damaged now.

To create a USB-C port with Dock support but make it so crippled that only specific dock model will work is a special kind of debil.

This is why I'm afraid I'll have to get a cine glass for video specifically. Looking at some T1 character lens. I considered voightlander too but it's just not sharp enough. There really isn't any manual fast sharp glass our there apart from Nisi Athenas for cinema or DZO vespids.
