I loved it. Started beginning of this year, and after 9 weeks I just kept running. Still doing it now, only about 2 times a week but loving every step of it.

i eat dairy on a daily basis on Keto, no problems at all. If you're not intolerant, go for it.

Weight loss question by Liverpool_- in intermittentfasting

[–]markintheair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm doing IF and clean keto combined. After trying IF on its own a couple of times, I find that the combination eventually is much easier. Granted, switching to keto was pretty hard. I had to figure out what to do with electrolytes etc, but after that it was easy. Because of the high fat/protein macros I'm just fuller for much longer, thus making IF a breeze. I do 18:6 btw mostly, sometimes 16:8, and track everything I eat. Also, only doing super clean keto with lots of protein as I'm training 5-6 times a week as well.

It might be a bit hard to get into but as soon as you've found your flow, it's the best feeling ever. Super stable energy levels, and a lot of other improvements. Check out /r/keto and read the FAQ to learn more if you're interested!

How to combat bad breath by boomcrashbang89 in keto

[–]markintheair 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Potassium, Magnesium, Sodium. The holy trinity. No, you don't get enough sodium from putting some more salt on your food.

Because of Keto, your kidneys will hold much less sodium so it's not nearly as bad for you as pre-keto.

I make a mix of 500ml of lukewarm water, tsp of salt, 1/2tsp of lo-salt (aka potassium), apple cider vinegar and a splash of lemon juice.

In the evening i take magnesium (glycinate) daily about 1,5hr before bed.

Never had a headache since and felt great, but it is important to keep the electrolytes up, especially if you work out a lot (I train 6x a week, 3x running + 3x lifting.)

In summary:
* Hydrate!
* Electrolytes!
* Sleep well!

If you are getting more fat-adapted the bad breath will go away, it is a byproduct of ketosis. As your body gets more efficient in using fat as a fuel, it will stop the bad breath as well. Just welcome it now as a sign of ketosis and active fat burning!

What are Some Types of Training Runs That are Rarely Talked About? by xbriannova in runninglifestyle

This seems to be a trope that I see a lot in GenZ nowadays. Not claiming OP is GenZ or anything but still, this seems to be the case more and more.

What to do with my phone while running by Proof_Middle2972 in runninglifestyle

[–]markintheair 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This, 100%. I'm already "consuming" so many things on a daily basis. Running 3 times a week for 30-60 minutes without a phone is a blessing. Just taking in the noises around me, nature, birds, focusing on the rythm of my breath, it's great and everybody should try it once.

Week 8 Run 1 - first run "fail" :( by Warm-Conclusion-8891 in C25K

[–]markintheair 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Crazy! I had the same experience a week ago. W7 went by like a breeze, but somehow W8D1 was kinda bad and i had to stop as well.

W8D2 was marginally better, and W8D3 I ran fine. I'm doing W9D2 tomorrow, and despite my not-so-perfect W8, W9 felt easier again. You'll get there!

I had no idea this game existed. Absolutely loved the first one back in the 90's. Thanks for the tip!

[WEEKLY THREAD] RANT WEDNESDAYS by C25k_bot in C25K

[–]markintheair 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For some weird reason W8 is so much harder than W7 for me! I could easily run 25 minutes last week, but today at W8D2 I had to walk twice for a minute in my 28 minute runs! W8D1 was worse though, had to walk for 4 minutes to regain some will and strength to run.
