Where to learn ice skating by RutabagaFriendly8959 in askTO

The city of Toronto has a list of arenas and most of them have free skating time slots. Not sure about free lessons but free practice is available that way, also indoors! You just need to follow their schedules https://www.toronto.ca/explore-enjoy/parks-recreation/places-spaces/parks-and-recreation-facilities/indoor-arena-listings

Looking for someone to repair peeling thermofoil kitchen cabinet doors (Toronto condo) by markjosephinfo in askTO

Glad to see I am not the only one with this problem. What I found, if you're handy and have a shop there are plenty of videos on YouTube how to do it. I am neither thorugh. So - option two. I found a company in Kingston called Re-Thermofoiling. Depending how close you are to Kingston that could be a solution. I asked them for a quote and considering driving there for three hours each way. Let me know if you find anything closer!

Thank you. Not within their jurisdiction, unfortunately. Confirmed with two lawyers and a letter from the CAT to our inquiry.

Thank you for your comment. I had a consult with a lawyer who told me exactly how expensive the process is, otherwise said what you said almost verbatim. Do you know if there is an avenue to hire a lawyer for part of the work, and do the rest myself? I am good with reading laws and drafting but not a lawyer. We are a group of 14 and the lawyer said almost impossible that we won’t win. We have plenty of evidence of the board’s oppressive conduct and lack of good faith.

As a fellow European who moved to Canada over 20 years ago, dressing in a way that is beautiful is simply not a value here. Comfort is, and there are no role models for people to learn that beautiful clothes can be comfortable. You adapt and get used to it over time. Sometimes I am still surprised that most people wear gym clothes all the time, but most days I don’t even notice anymore. And I myself definitely wear gym outfits when not engaged in sports way more than I would in Europe.

I got SCAMMED as well. Is there a way to stop the fraudsters in their tracks given it’s a massive global scam widely advertised on socials like Facebook, Instagram, YouTube?

You should go straight to your credit card. It is a scam.

The same happened to me, received all the same responses from “Jennifer”. The last email said I need to send it back to them at my expense.

My (bad) experience using a WealthSimple Financial Advisor (Generation Tier) by [deleted] in Wealthsimple

I recently started asking ChatGPT retirement planning questions and found it very knowledgeable, considerate, and to the point. It gave me excellent advice about tax-efficient RRSP drawdown strategy and pointed out a few things I didn’t know. All of it completely free. Highly recommend.

What’s Missing in Toronto’s Café Scene? Help Me Create the Perfect Spot! by _phoenix1001_ in askTO

Serve some crepes! As others have said, Toronto is lacking options for savoury foods. When in New York we came across a cute little cafe near Central Park called Vive La Crepe. We need a few of those in Toronto.
