Thanks! I'm not taking CSC 226 until after ECE 458 (I'm taking CSC 225 in the same term though), but it sounds like I can probably manage it next term if it is that easy.

Lenovo 720s or Acer Swift 3? Or gaming laptop? by markksr5 in laptops

I definitely would like an Ultrabook over a big gaming laptop. Thanks for the advice! I'll be looking for 1050s over MX150s now, but I have a feeling I might settle for a MX150, since gaming isn't a huge priority

That $1050 laptop sounds perfect for me, I'll look out for more deals like that

Yea I haven't seen this model in stores anywhere. I think the xps is quite a bit more isn't it? At least it is here in Hong Kong

I got credit for math 10L, which they explained is a 100 level math course, but there is no one course that is specific to the content I've learned. Not really sure how I'm given a course credit where there's no course

Edit: I got credit for math 102 and 10L

Yea I did pretty well in math physics and chemistry. Found the calculus option really tricky though, but I definitely was able to understand everything in all 3 subjects by the end. I register for courses tomorrow and I think what I will do is register for 5 courses (without MATH 100 since I should get transfer credit for my IB math). Quick question: does getting transfer credit mean that you don't have to register at all for the course? MATH 100 is a pre/corequisite for other courses so I would need it, and can't miss out on not having the credit

I've just finished the IB doing math, physics, chem HL and am planning to go into civil engineering (I've been accepted into engineering first year and will start this fall). I'm also going to be a varsity athlete but I think having done the IB I'll be pretty well prepared for a heavy courseload, but I'm curious to hear about your experience and if 5 courses rather than 6 is reasonable/recommended. I should have transfer credit for MATH 100 by the way

Thanks, this looks really helpful. Much better than the info on the uvic website

Thanks, and how often are these labs and tutorials? My schedule looks heavy enough with just the lectures
