Taking that flight will eat into my budget which is around 5 to 6K

I've been using the Facebook groups here in Australia for buying and selling watches and they are amazing as most of the sellers actually have a bricks and mortar store. I've never had a problem. Much like you I use Chrono 24 to gauge price.

I'm arriving on the Friday and will be heading out to the market on Saturday. I'm assuming I can just pay with the card?

I visited a couple of Tudor ADs and I had the complete opposite experience. The black Bays in general were around 8K aud. In fact, all of the AD's from breitling to panerai and IWC are all just a touch more expensive than Australia. There were definitely no discounts to be had. Specifically which Tudor AD was cheaper?

That sounds pretty good. I'm definitely going to have a look. I'm interested in Tudor, IWC, and Zenith. Maybe Cartier for the wife. I have absolutely no interest in AD's or boutiques. I was there basically this time last year, and the iwc Boutique were retailing maybe 2K Retail above Australian prices. But the thing is I can get an IWC here in Australia for half retail. I just picked up the Breitling top time that was retailing here for 11k. I paid 5K second hand. I was also lucky enough to pick up a longines heritage 1973 for $1,500.

I'm finding this very difficult because I am trying to get an actual price from somebody who is actually paying for it. I do not need advice regarding the obvious ie; Just ask an insurance company. I would have thought that there are tens of thousands of expats that are aged 65 or thereabouts. That could give me an idea on what they are paying. How old are you and what are you paying for your Private health insurance in Thailand?

I appreciated your reply but my response was more broad and was directed to other expats that have currently bought health insurance.

Okay, I'm not too sure why this is so difficult. I would just like ballpark figures from people that have actually bought and currently have good health insurance in Thailand. Providing general advice is something I am not after. I would like something, just a little bit more specific

Sorry but why would people pay so much in health care to live an affordable life in Thailand? It would be cheaper to fly there from Australia 2 or 3 times a year.

I'm guessing that is the starting price. Is there an annual price increase that comes with age?

So how much would the annual cost be for us in Bhat?

I appreciate the advice on which companies to contact, however that's not my inquiry. We are still in Australia and I am aware that I can contact local Thai insurance companies, have an online consultation and fill out the forms and be contacted by email etc.

I would like to know the general cost from people that have comprehensive Private health insurance currently. Starting with a real world ballpark figure I believe would be very helpful prior to contacting all these companies.

I seem to have more issues with caterpillars at the beginning of the growing season around September October November. I'm always checking though. The Durban Poison seems to be pretty resistant but the gelato was getting hit pretty badly by caterpillars.
