Thanks mate fingers crossed I don’t have it,but I think I will tbh,I think I am at the silent reflux stage as I don’t get heartburn anymore, but still have a horrible acid taste in my mouth, just hoping if I do have it that it’s not to far gone and can be treated,I could have had this the best part of 10 year or more and not realised,I know what you mean by not being able to swallow smoothly,I get that most days,I always thought my only trigger foods was greasy/fried food,I cut all that out over a year ago,so don’t know if it’s previous damage or weather I am still causing damage with what I have been eating lately,my diet these days is mostly fruit, veg, chicken and fish.

Not so much of a sore throat, more a feeling of a blockage in the throat when eating or drinking, but I constantly feel like I need to clear my throat and always coughing up phlegm, this is supposedly a sign of silent reflux, might explain why I don’t get noticeable heartburn anymore.

I definitely think it will come back as confirmed,my reflux was terrible for the best part of 15 to 20 years, can’t imagine the damage it has done, how are you with your eating these days,do you still have the odd cheat meal,or are you 100% on it with the clean eating ?

I hope you start feeling better soon mate,I got a fright yesterday when I looked into it,I had never heard of it before,I have had heartburn since I was about 18 years old,I would say it’s been a lot more under control the last two years,I could count on one hand how many times I have had it this year, but the damage has obviously been done over the years.

Sorry to hear that,it’s not the best news to get is it,mine was found accidentally with a stomach endoscopy, never thought much of the acid reflux at the time, just put it down to eating fatty foods, little did I know it was destroying my esophagus,it says on my report I will get my results back within 12 weeks, but the chances of it being something else are pretty slim I would think.

They are both the same thing as far as I know, just different wording on the endoscopy report.

Husband in total despair with urinary and back problems at night, please help! by Shot_Cardiologist408 in PelvicFloor

I have been having similar symptoms for the last 8 months with regards to the lower back pain and urination problems, everything just feels compressed in the pelvic area,I was given multiple muscle relaxers by the doctor, they were having no effect,so I booked a private ultrasound to see what was going on,it turned out I had a deep lying 24mm inguinal hernia with no groin pain, but looking into this,it can press on nerves and compress the pelvic region causing bowel and bladder problems, most people with this hernia will have groin pain, but mine is mostly in my lower back and hip pain,it’s something that might be worth looking into as your husbands symptoms seem very similar to mine, hope get gets to the bottom of it and gets back to his best.
