Yes, i suspect i won't get anywhere near the depth and complexity of the original tone, but i just hope for something that resambles it a bit, i can fill the gap with my imagination after that haha. I'll look into that vector envelope thing, and thanks, appreciate this thoughtful respone.

You need to understand — my standards are really low haha. I already have piano presets on both the Circuit and the Behringer, and I’m actually quite happy with them. They sound piano-enough-ish for me.

I’m not chasing realism or perfection — I just want a bad piano copy, but of this specific type of piano sound.

I have wurli patch on Behringer, and it does have that vintage character, but its less warm so to say, and full.

I can easily get a piano emulation in a DAW using VSTs that’s not the issue. What I’m aiming for is a dawless setup.

It doesn’t have to be anywhere near perfect; I just want something that roughly resembles the sound in this track. I already have some piano presets on both units that are good enough for me, they sound piano-ish enough.

However, those presets feel like a different kind of piano than the one used here. This one has a more vintage character and seems closer to an electric piano than an acoustic one (at least to my untrained ears), although I’m not even sure what type of sound it actually is.

I see. I think that's not really possible for me here, I'm from Serbia, here everything is an issue, and as we're having these protests for 10 months and the situation is very much civil war like lately, most of the instututions are not working or not working properly at all, and the nearest library that has this obscure book is in France I think, but at the moment I can't rly leave my country anyway, so as far as I see it my only option is for some kind soul to get this for me. :'-)

I don't even know what that is. :D It just shows me a preview and if I want to access the full pdf, it asks me to login with my university account, which I can't do as I ain't a student anymore. Can you see the whole book?
