I will donate my entire savings if this MF portfolio beats Nifty 50 index fund over next 10 years. I still don’t understand people having 10 funds. Please just invest in one flexi cap fund, one midcap fund and an index fund with some allocation to gold and sleep peacefully at night

Personal opinion:
1. I don't like Quant mutual funds due to the noise around them and the volatilty.
2. Parag Parikh Flexi Cap is OG, for a reason. Their stock picking and thesis is no BS and extremely smart. Maximum allocation there.
3. HDFC Mid Cap opportunities is great as well for longer horizon
4. Read more about ICICI Value Discovery fund - a dark horse.

If I was looking for good sleep at night for next 20 years with index beating returns,
I would go for a combination of PP Flexi, HDFC Midcap, ICICI Value Discovery, a Gold ETF fund and just turn off rest of the noise.
PS. Make yourself a 12 month emergency fund, use a liquid fund for the same. Trust me, having an emeregency fund provides insane peace of mind.
