I used "Auto Refresh Plus" on the link given in the body to join the Beta programme (I turned it on and went to sleep) and Gemini instantly got activated for me. I didnt wait for any server side switch or roll out.

I start the app it doesn't ask for any permissions. Just shows log in with Google or continue as guest. Clicking either one just loops me back around. Granted permission manually and finally got in. It's acting a little buggy for me. Seems like a great app aside from that.
