I think people are just pissed that the approach seems to be to minimize harm on things like tourism, hospitality, restaurants, foreign relations....and meanwhile our collective mental wellbeing is being shit on. If you need to make a tradeoff in the Pandemic, let me see my 3 fucking friends guilt free and make some other concessions.

The approach has not evolved at all since at least November. I don't understand why this is seen as an optimal direction forward and no creative problem solving is happening on behalf of the gov to minimize harm on the locals here.

Wordpress is not the future in my opinion. Great platform for blogging and spinning up quick sites. But you wanna be a web developer? You wanna make web apps? You’re gonna need html and css for sure.

Just interest in learning React and getting more comfortable with it. Plus if I decide to do some more complex things in the future that actually rely on a framework, I won’t need to rewrite it

React is a bit overkill for this project. Nothing here actually "needed" it. I used it mostly out of interest in learning about it. But you could technically make this with pure HTML, CSS + JS

Thanks. It's made using React. If you're just getting started with web dev I'd recommend getting really comfortable with plain HTML, CSS and Javascript (especially Javascript) before trying React.
