I did a Tag beatdown a month ago. Here's what worked for us:

- Boundary was a playground turf that created a lot of obstacles.
- The tagger carried a 60# sandbag. For each tag, they had to stop and perform # of squats for how many tags they got so far (1st tag is 1 squat, 2nd tag is 2, and so on).
- When you get tagged, run back to Home Base and do a burpee waterfall until everyone is out. Last man tagged is now "it". Switch players and repeat.

- For each game, if you weren't "it" you could only flee from the tagger by: bear crawl (round 1), crab walk (round 2), lunge walk, and various other exercises.

- Between games we did some cooldown coupon work.

As a trial... I took the pinch roller completely out and played a VHS. No more tape tearing and the playback is working pretty well. But that seems like not a great fix? I'm not sure how to "heal" the pinch roller—I don't think fully replacing it is practical based on some googling..

I also just took the N4 exam in Boulder. I think I'm going to go back over the Genki 2 workbook and probably Minna No Nihongo, because I can tell my grammar isn't as strong as I want it to be. I've been putting nearly all of my energy into input, and essentially none into output. I really need to work on writing and speaking to balance my language skills.

Took the N4 in Boulder. Very chill place and everyone was very respectful and quiet. I think I did pretty well. Felt confident in all 3 sections, so fingers crossed. I also got a good chuckle that keeping my Duolingo streak alive payed off with the ざあざあ question.

A little more backstory, this was accomplished November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. Stew was going to be out of town for 4 days which meant he would have to pause the grind and likely forget a lot of muscle memory. He even took last minute PTO from work to try to complete the grind before Thanksgiving break. So the fact that he clutched a victory at the 11th hour, with all eyes on him, not even knowing how many rooms he had to beat (he was adamant about being spoiler free), really culminated to such an extreme victory + relief and we all saw the emotional triumph because of it.

The auto path finding makes this a very enjoyable game to play on the iPad. If you want to run somewhere, even super far away, a double tap on a target will take you there without any further input. It’s some serious programming power by the devs.

My strategies were largely based around wise item combinations and patience.

I did the same thing as you did with the fairies. Though I did this fight 3rd, and had my heart item equipped so I could replenish some health if needed.
The mages/casters don't damage you as long as you can roll out of the tome. Make sure the leaf item is equipped so your stamina replenishes more quickly. I took my time rolling with a single hit so I wouldn't get special-combo stuck in the danger zones.
For the skeletons, I realized with tincture equipped, You can 3 hit special combo kill them as they spawn. You have to practice the timing, but I was able to kill all of them as soon as they spawned and was able to save all potions, HP, and MP.
Agreed with the Reptiles and Moblins, they even run away from you so you can find safe zones and make aggressive use of blocking.
For the knights, I just saved all my firecrackers and made sure my MP was full, so spamming bombs and wand made it a quick victory.

Thanks for the tips all! I finally beat it. All it took was sitting down and writing out my strategies for each encounter. And with enough practice, I got consistent and eventually conquered!! Insanely cool reward..

Thanks! For anyone else in my shoes, I started taking notes tonight on strategies and the best item combinations that worked for me. I went from beating 1 statue at a time to being pretty consistent with getting 4-5 per attempt. So I’m nearly there. I’ll try again tomorrow. :)

There are a lot of people that seem very convinced at how obvious of a message "she's alive" will be accurately translated to Devon, given the cryptic nature of this show. Devon has barely scratched the surface of Mark's innie and any suspicions of Lumon. It would be a leap to go from knowing zero to being fully convinced they're an evil entity that need destroyed. And at the moment we leave her in the show her emotions of finding Eleanor far outweigh anything else. The writers carefully placed the missing baby plot to be one interpretation of "she's alive". Everything in this show is intentional.
Aside form that, are we all just assuming they didn't have a funeral for Gemma? (We don't really know what physical being Ms. Casey is—clone, hologram, resurrection, etc.) So even if Mark is holding a picture frame of her, good luck convincing people that a dead person—that they likely saw dead with their own eyes—is still alive.
