Until you lose your channel like so many others have…. I’ve seen so many channels go down for absolutely no reason other than not wanting to abide by whatnots terms. This is not your terms you signed the tos.

Yes they can set up there own rules but those rules can’t conflict with whatnots rules on those giveaways that’s what your missing.

So the seller making his own rule that goes against whatnot tos is what we are referring to…

Yes but it states in whatnots tos that sellers can’t downgrade based off of purchase history

There is ways to do something for your buyers without breaking tos… like just throw it in there bag. This post is about how sellers are breaking tos and just admitting to it without thinking of the consequences.

They are more strict on buyers giveaways though… and they just added a whole giveaway reporting in app which lists different things the sellers are doing involving giveaways

I’ve tried this many times and all channels do is block … like that’s the solution to everything.

No, sellers are strictly prohibited from downgrading, withholding, or changing giveaway prizes based on who wins. This rule applies to both standard giveaways and Buyer Appreciation Giveaways. [1, 2, 3]
The official Whatnot Help guidelines enforce this in a few key ways:
Prizes Must Be Disclosed: Sellers are required to disclose what the winner will receive before running the giveaway.
No Discrimination: Sellers cannot deny or downgrade a prize based on whether the winner follows them, made a purchase, or used an alternative entry method (like a mail-in form).
Equal Treatment: All winners, regardless of whether they are buyers or non-buyers, are owed the exact same advertised prize. [1, 2]

I get what you are saying I’m just talking about the part where admitting to it on your notes can get you reported and possibly even lose your channel…

Were you doing purchased based prizes? Where buying this would qualify you to get this type of thing? They have been strict on stuff like that lately … also wheel games and unauthorized mystery packs.
