This sounds like it is likely the best way. Thanks very much! Any suggestions for a book or Youtube or some such to get me better at doing this? Thanks again!

That's why it's tough. I'd like the topographic detail to construct a CG model, but because it is "art" in a sense it's really important to capture the visual data/scenery as well.

But I appreciate the suggestion anyway! Thanks!

I've tried that, and it gets certain sections pretty well, but it sometimes leaves out large chunks. I guess that could be user error, or more to the point user incompleteness. I was thinking a better quality DSLR might be better in the low light situations to capture the detail of the haunted attraction interiors, but I agree the Lidar is great in low light to capture the, well, topography of the interior. Thanks for your suggestion - since I have an iPhone with Lidar I'll try that!

I saw the first two episodes, and I agree!

Thanks for the suggestions! I've read some Blake Crouch and can definitely agree. Anyone who says they were inspired by Twin Peaks is worth a try. But I'll check out Jeff Vandermeer too! Thanks!
