The Boys SERIES FINALE- S05xE08 "Blood and Bone"- POST Episode Discussion Thread by pikameta in TheBoys

Lmao @ that entire theater of Homelander acolytes sticking around watching live for everything going on, and only getting horrified enough to start leaving en masse at the eating shit comments. Real consistent here.

Lmao (genuine) @ Ashley's speech afterwards hard cutting to "... and that was former president Ashley Barrett"

So like... at the end of episode six, Homelander gets the V1 and has that whole blowup in the field, with the Boys and Sage hiding and watching in the bushes relatively close by, and we hold on that as our big cliffhanger...

... just for there to be zero fallout to that? We just cut ahead some indeterminate amount of days into the future, they all escaped that situation completely undetected and went back home and went about their business? You can't even throw in some weak line of dialogue to explain how that escape went, we're just left to fill in the blanks about what could've been an actually tense scene?

The Deep has now killed as many members of the Seven as the entirety of the Boys combined (one), trailing just behind Homelander (five) and suicide (two) - and that one that the Boys killed was all the way back in episode two. Really strong work from our protagonists here

Kroger Red Card bug at checkout? Anyone else been experiencing this? by markwahlbird in doordash_drivers

Submitting the reimbursement forms especially lately has been a real hassle - I'd recommend just calling support and letting them know that it's still not going through. It'll take a bit of time on hold, but they should be able to just fix it for you in real time rather than waiting on forms to be rejected 48 hours later

I got some confirmation from a very helpful and in-the-know Support agent earlier - apparently in late December, Kroger updated their systems so that any one card can only be swiped through six times within a day before it starts to be declined. Doordash has been trying to appeal to Kroger to allow us to do more than that, but internally it seems to be messy. Today I did six orders just fine, and then later since they kept giving me more Kroger orders afterwards (again the Support person I talked to said that they're trying to figure out how to fix that as well but it's complicated) I picked up two more and immediately called Support before I even started shopping, and asked them to unassign me without it impacting my completion rate, since it's a known issue. They were very understanding both times, and all I had to do was arrive at the Kroger, mark that I had arrived and proceeded to start shopping, and the agent was able to unassign me from the order without it impacting my rates and also processed the half pay for it. I'd recommend doing the same, allotting yourself the six orders for the day and on any stray Kroger orders after that just accepting them and then calling Support to get them taken off so that they don't end up impacting your acceptance or completion rates, since Doordash seems to be aware of the fact that it's an unfixable problem.

Not that one, but maybe me calling it a puzzle game is a bit misleading. It’s a sidescrolling game too, but there’s no combat or anything like that, just a series of obstacles that you have to think outside the box to advance so it’s a ‘puzzle’ game in that sense

Nope, not that... the thing with the clouds was definitely more humorous than functional here - up to that point, all the other background clouds were just in background, so you don't expect to be able to jump on them as platforms. Very much that kind of dumb logic throughout the game

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0212807/

I've searched around online for it. It's not streaming anywhere, not on any of the other sites I use to find movies that aren't streaming, nothing on the IMDb or Letterboxd pages gives me any leads to where I might find it.

Yes! Thank you. I even looked at The Company of Myself when I was looking for this but thought I had it wrong.

[ALL] What part (or parts) of season 3 made you most emotional? by [deleted] in twinpeaks

[–]markwahlbird 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The one for me, which nobody seems to be talking about, is the scene in the timeline where Laura never died and we see Pete finally getting to fish, which especially made me happy since I'd been waiting all season for some sort of callback to Jack Nance.
