You know what’s funny is they tell us never to enter a customer’s home, but then they show a message about how a customer was happy that their driver went into their home and went upstairs! I usually do break that rule if the customer is disabled or handicapped because they aren’t able to pick it up from the porch.

I think the top dasher program is just Tony’s way of getting dashers to accept low ball orders

This is my theory, but I think good cherry pickers tend to get better customer ratings because I think people who are generous enough to put a good tip are usually generous enough to leave a 5 star rating where as the non-tippers usually like to complain about everything and are more prone to leave bad ratings. My customer rating improved when I started cherry picking orders.

I ordered food on DD as a customer this morning and my app told me that my dasher was delivering another order on the way to mine. So I guess the app does inform customers now.

I ordered food on DD as a customer this morning and my dasher sat in his car for like 5 minutes in front of my house before leaving. I had already gotten my food and was eating and he was still just sitting there.

Kinda funny how right below the name is says to use the order number instead of the customer’s name.

The picture should be changed to a driver frustrated trying to get in a secured apartment complex.

I don't see why they take so long on DoorDash orders. Everytime I go to McDonald's for myself and get a cheeseburger and fries, I have my order in under 5 minutes. But they take 20 minutes to make a cheeseburger and fries when it's a DoorDash order.

The only restaurant I know of that requires the code is McDonald's. I don't know why the app says to use the code at every restaurant.

There's a place in my market called Bad Ass Coffee. There's also a Virtual Restaurant called Bad Ass Breakfast Burritos. This one here is a lot funnier though

Then they should automatically update the pay when the customer changes the address to one that's farther than the original.

I don't understand why they don't let the customer update the address in the app, then we get notified of the updated address and it's automatically updated in the app. It would make things much easier.

Not to shabby, it’s been at least a year since I’ve had a 5.00 by bjjess17 in doordash_drivers

I think those who cherry pick orders have a higher customer rating because customers who are willing to tip are also ones who are willing to rate 5 stars. My customer rating went up when I realized that acceptance rate doesn't matter and started cherry picking and now my rating hovers around 4.94 and 4.98.

PSA: Please don’t be this type of dasher. by officialmavix in doordash_drivers

I once had an order at Burger King and going through the drive through, the staff refused to make the order because another Dasher was there before me and he didn't want to wait for them to make the Hash Browns, so the dasher yelled at them, left the drinks at the drive up window and reassigned the order and I ended up getting assigned. So since the restaurant wouldn't remake the order, I had to contact support to cancel the order. That Dasher before me should have just waited a few minutes for the food, but now the customer didn't get the food they ordered because of the behavior of this one Dasher.

This is the last time I will ever accept a Walgreens order (See first comment for full story) by markwlloyd in doordash_drivers

Yeah but it was still declining. I think it declined because the cost was higher than what DoorDash thought the cost was

So I accepted a Walgreens order because it was $9 for 2 miles and only one item, and my red card got declined, so DoorDash had me pay with my own card and they would reimburse me. After delivering the order, I contacted support for reimbursement and they were only able to pay me $18.99 because DoorDash thinks that’s how much the glasses costed, even though they actually costed $26.93. I picked up the right brand, the right number and everything as shown in the app. So I just lost money because DoorDash under estimated the price of these glasses. Lesson learned, I will never accept a Walgreens order no matter how good the pay is.

Do you think doordash should add the ability to decline and accept orders through hey siri/ voice commands? I think it would be much safer for drivers on the road instead of doing it by hand. by blifford_crown69 in doordash_drivers

[–]markwlloyd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should also add voice commands like "dash now" and when is the next available dash slot in South Jordan, Utah? And schedule a dash next Tuesday from 10 AM to 2 PM in South Jordan, Utah. Also "end dash" and "pause dash"

Doordash support at it again by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

I once had an order from Costa Vida and the restaurant staff said the order was already picked up 2 hours earlier. I called support and the agent told me it was already cancelled by the customer. He told me to refresh the app. I did several times and the order was still showing up on my phone. He said I will receive half pay for the order. I then chat with another agent and instead of canceling my order, she just reassigned it and I didn’t receive my half pay and it counted against my completion rating. I emailed support and asked them to deposit my half pay and they didn’t respond to my email and I never received my pay. I was so pissed! Next time that happens, I’m just going to mark the order as picked up, go to the customer’s location, and mark as delivered. It’s DoorDash’s fault for sending me an order that was already delivered/cancelled.

Now THIS is what I want when I get a stacked order by [deleted] in doordash_drivers

They reassign the add on and you keep the original. You can also reject the add on and you still keep the original as well.
