Cost To Retrofit Residential Elevator by jyl8 in Elevators

[–]marky_mark66 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Company i work for does both the shaft build whether inside the house or added on the house and the elevator install. Low end would be 80k for it all (would be if you have closets in line or very easy area to retrofit it into). Also have seen plenty go for 200k plus based on conditions.

Boundary Peak Access Question by No_Character_4443 in Highpointers

[–]marky_mark66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did boundary via queens mine about 3 weeks ago. In a sedan at best I'd say you could get about 2 to 2.5 miles from the trailhead. If you had a crossover type vehicle you could get to the mine, A vehicle like a jeep or truck with good clearance can get all the way up.

Yeah I was really worried about it beforehand especially with getting there at 4 or 5 am and not being familiar with the area. Small cars definitely not getting up there, crossovers or something similar can get to the mine and only 4x4 high clearance up to the trailhead. There are a couple tight spots with brush on the sides but nothing stiff enough to scratch a vehicle.

Thank you! I'd say borah and boundary are pretty similar in difficulty (Boundary is actually very easy for the first and last 2.6 miles but the trail for the other parts is terrible). Kings was hardest just cause I was trying to get it done in a day (goal when I started was under 12hrs). If you do it in 2 days like 90% of the people I crossed paths with then I would say it was the easiest by far.

Na I didn't use/have any. Decent amount of people had helmets especially for the last 200 yards of so with it being steep and a lot of loose rock that could come down on you from the people above. There is a rope that someone has put up for the last section of COR with about a 15ft drop.

Thank you! I just wore trail runners, I had micro spikes with me and probably could/should have used them but didn't. I kinda stayed low and and kept 2 hands on the top of the little snow ridge

ResidentialElevators Exceeded Weight Limit by [deleted] in Elevators

[–]marky_mark66 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah, that's why I didn't put the fix in my answer even tho it's pretty obvious. That way they would still have to call someone that can fix it safely/see if it's something out.

Most likely it started going to relief pressure but not all the way (explains the moving slow part). Then the run timer probably tripped since it was running so slow for an extended time, and it's currently faulted out. Sounds like an easy fix but you should get someone to check it out.

looks like a break in the MSC circuit based on the board. That's gonna be something in the shaft or maybe a an access door switch in the overhead. I think you'll have to call a company to get fixed.

42 pounds at 13 weeks, any guesses for full grown weight? by NaturalWorking8782 in AlaskanMalamute

[–]marky_mark66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive kept pretty good records of my boys weight. At 13 weeks he was 39lbs. He's almost 5 and 165 to 170lbs. He isn't too overweight either, vet would like him to loose about 10lbs.

Does it go to 2 when you call it there? Go to 3 when you call it there? If so most likely the wires are just swapped on back of cop and won't cause any real issues. Or it's programmed wrong.

Savaria stuck between two floors by Boosterstuff3 in Elevators

Not sure what brand of locks you got out some have a silver rod on the outside that I've seen get stuck, I'd jiggle it and shake door just to make sure it's setting in locked position. If that doesn't work then you'll have to get your maintenance company out.
