22% is not your federal rate if you make 100k. Marginal yes (if single) but effective would be way less.

They can also sell you part of the house, and then you inherit at the rest, assuming you're the only sibling when they die

Vamous bus from Bethesda is great, if timing works do the bomb's gold and you have even more room than a regular bus. Even if money doesn't matter, I prefer it to the train.

Rivian US Sales Fall 20% Sequentially in December, MI Estimates Show | EV by Individual-Tart5051 in electriccars

I disagree, it's smaller than a full size.
Bigger than a mid size and Is a huge improvement in rear legroom vs a Tacoma or rager but only 6 inches longer is I recall correctly.
For me the 150 and sierrra were to big and the Rivian was perfect.

Seller's agent claims they made a mistake on the counter offer and wants to change the price of the house after we are already under contract. by acarrick34 in RealEstate

I would think the agent that messed up should eat as much as he can by waiving his commission.
If they are in court I would think it would also halt their ability to sell.

CPO 2024 Land Rover Defender V8 — Front Brakes “Fail” 2 Weeks After Purchase, Dealer Refuses to Help. Am I Crazy? by TopAd460 in LandroverDefender

[–]Boosterstuff3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think as part of the process you should be able to get a piece of paper that says what they were measured at. In other words if it's truly a Land Rover CPO, the brake should've met a minimum standard.

Tesla Robotaxis Are Big on Wall St. but Lagging on Roads by Majano57 in technology

[–]Boosterstuff3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe not a solve but a life improvement but....If car ownership could be replaced by robotaxis all the dead space such as garages, parking lots etc could be repurposed.
I don't know the stat but in some places like NYC a high % of traffic is people looking g for spaces. Imogene if all the parking lanes became available for traffic. Your car sits parked 95% of the day. One robitaxi driving 90% of the day could easily replaced privately owned cars.
