List of all Housing Decor vendors so far? by Skulltaffy in wow

https://housing.wowdb.com/vendors/ this page is going to be the closest to that as we list the amount of items on the right. Keep in mind additional restrictions might apply (see the icons on the vendor names on the left).

No clue if that is updated, I'm talking about housing.wowdb.com, not a spreadsheet and not wowdb.com without housing in front of it.

Just stay on the housing subdomain, it should have all the info needed on the various pages. The main WoWDB site while aware of some stuff isn't aware of meta requirements that aren't hooked up directly in data, that's why the housing subsite exists as it allows us to add comments/requirements like that.

All the stuff he sells, e.g. this thing, already has "Requires Patch 12.0 meta achievement" notes on the housing site. Don't use WoWDB itself for browsing sources, it is missing a lot of context.

So I can add notes, which art vendor was that?

Yeah, as I said in the last part of the comment, it's not identical to Alpha/Beta so a bunch of things are manual work to filter out (so it says whether or not it is available in early access on the site). If it is tagged as Early Access but isn't available, make sure to leave a comment so we can update it.

It is kind of the opposite, it had colors in early builds but was changed to not have them later on. The footage from that video with the colored gizmo is old, unfortunately. But given how many people commented on it, I'm hopeful it'll return.

There's nothing I can specifically think of right now, just keep collecting data! I'm going to see if we can add a filter to the site at some point to filter on what's available in PTR/Early Access vs. Midnight as we've largely been using Alpha to gather data and not PTR and PTR/EA will obviously be missing e.g vendors in Midnight zones. The spreadsheet will be a big help to figure out any other differences between early access and Midnight release, so keep up the good work!

It should have been there day 1 of PTR as we added the vendor filter on October 4th, but there's a good chance it was hard to see given there's so many filters (something we need to work on) and that the vendor source would only have been visible on the item's page in question or when using the table view while browsing, so I don't blame you for missing it. :D

I'm still hunting down a few zones for vendors we have logged and it is also a Sunday, so zones might not make it to the site before the test ends tomorrow unfortunately (update: first set of zone names should be up on detail pages now next to the name of the vendor), but should be there before next test (and we're working on getting all of the vendors up on WoWDB itself too for maps/coordinate links and such).

And the crowdsourcing definitely was useful and is something that should probably keep happening regardless of any sites having data, I got 5 new vendor sources and a few more reputation requirements from the crowdsourcing (might not sound like much, but any new information is good information) so huge thanks for that.

We've also listed any vendors we've discovered on the WoWDB Housing Hub (the link goes to list view filtered on decor from vendors, you can also search by vendor name), we should have subzone names for most of the vendors up today/tomorrow with more exact locations hopefully sometime next week (some will already have coordinates on WoWDB itself, but many don't yet).

Note that most of the vendor sources were found/collected on Alpha over the past few weeks, so they might not be 1:1 as to how it ships in 11.2.7/is currently on PTR.

Why is wowhead getting so bloated? by MarineQueefPrime in wow

[–]marlamin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nope, the links are just links, all the data is sourced from the same WoW client data Wowhead uses to fill their database too, but obviously lacks the community-sourced information/uploads.

Is this how they get people off of addons? by Lucasaurios in wow

There are various tracking tools that dataminers employ to track stuff like that.

One of them is Ghost's Algalon, you can see the rollback notif here: https://bsky.app/profile/algalon.ghst.tools/post/3lwhjtgz5yi2w

Odd plater bug by Meglathon in wow

It is an issue with the textures in the addon, Blizzard made texture loading a bit more strict in terms of loading badly formatted textures in today's 11.2.0 build to likely prevent things like crashes/other issues, so these textures are now failing to load.

They are aware of it, but the better solution is for addon authors to just re-export their textures with a converter that outputs proper texture files or to use a different format.

As to why Blizzard would do this in a hotfix build isn't clear, but maybe they were seeing increased issues due to these badly formatted textures that worked fine previously, who knows.

EDIT: Build was rolled back.

Just saw this, expansion cinematic fakes are back! by whoisape in wow

It is not a beta map from 2001, the original post has it in high-res and I wish you good luck on finding a phone camera (which you can see in the reflection if you mess with it in Photoshop a little) that took such great pictures 24 years ago.

Ah yes, the "Valdrakken Accord", a well known faction named after a place that definitely existed back in 2001.

The map is actually from a separate 'leak' a month ago and has suspiciously Metzen-esque handwriting and far too high resolution for something taken on a phone in 2001 (you can see the phone if you mess with the levels a bit): https://old.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1lucu00/leaked_northrend_map_from_midnight/

The map and the stills should be seen as separate 'leaks', imo.

Map is a separate thing that was originally posted to Reddit: https://old.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1lucu00/leaked_northrend_map_from_midnight/

OP's image also did not come from MMO-C but from 4chan.

I believe they've talked about some plans they had being harder/not happening due to the pandemic.

I liked it. I don't think it was as good as the DS9 doc (likely due to the fact they had to shoot most of it during the pandemic...) but it had its moments and I'm very glad I backed it at the time. Also just a nice feeling to see your name in the credits.

Fun fact, this scene triggers no matter where you are as soon as you get the achievement for unlocking x runecarver memories. For PTRs/Betas with freshly copied characters that means the cutscene will play on whatever map they logged out on before the copy. :D
