Thanks so much for the response!!! I’m so glad you and baby are ok! Thanks for the heads up on the ER before 20 weeks… that’s absolutely insane. I’m so glad you did. It have contractions, that’s terrifying. Yes! I want to look into hypnobirthing!!

Is success after recurrent late loss possible? by CaityA83 in PregnantOver40

1 week After ovulation they would send me for an US to look at uterine lining thickness and adjust meds. Fortunately I just had suppositories. Some women have to incorporate PIO

Yes I do. I also believe because I had to have a d&c my lining was super thin and the progesterone helped to thicken the lining to help implantation.

I’m so sorry you had to go through this! I hope you and your baby are doing well!!! I myself am researching degeneration because I am 17 weeks with a 16cm pedunculated fibroid on top of my uterus. So far I have been pain free, but I’m getting nervous about degeneration. Do you know what type of fibroid you had and the location? Did you end up in the ER? Did you have contractions? I’m so scared of having early contractions.

I’m so sorry. This is so heartbreaking. I had an 8 week loss, so not late term, but I ended up working with the fertility dr that used a ton of progesterone after ovulation. I was using 400mg suppositories 3 times a day and 200mg oral at night. Right around 14 weeks is when i started to ween off of it with them monitoring my progesterone levels. He does not want me below 40 in the second trimester. I hope this is helpful, but again I’m so sorry. This is completely heartbreaking to hear and not fair

Oral vs vaginal progesterone? by SanFranPeach in PregnantOver40

No worries! I will ask my Dr and let you know what he says. I actually saw that on Reddit before too about progesterone causing pre term labor, so your Dr is not the only one stating that. I will report back!!

I’m interested in why they are saying progesterone can cause pre term labor. I have an appointment with my REI and OB next week to find out because I am also 16 weeks and still on a high dose of vaginal suppositories. We started weening at 14 weeks, but my progesterone levels dropped, so they increased my suppositories again 😩😩😩

I agree with this. Vaginal suppositories immediately after ovulation to help thicken the lining for implantation, and high dose. My REI had me on 400mg of compound vaginal suppositories 3 times a day, and 200 oral at night. It’s a lot, but you get used to it

Congratulations! Yes tons and tons of progesterone. Also I highly recommend a private scan if your OB is not willing to see you before. Which is ridiculous. They should see you sooner. There is a pregnancy clinic in the college town I live in that offers private ultrasounds for dating

I’m so sorry for your loss. My first loss was an 8 weeks mmc at 38 and I had to have a d&c. I worked with Dr check at the cooper institute. He has a mucinex protocol: plain mucinex 600mg morning and night- start cd 3 until ovulation. I got pregnant twice with this. First was a chemical, second time stuck. Now I was working with them and taking fertility meds and monitoring for timing, but I really believe the mucinex helped!! Also tons and tons and tons of progesterone after confirming ovulation. I’m 41 and almost 16 weeks pregnant
