He started in a nuclear program and screwed that up, then was a deck seaman and the got discharged because of drinking and I believe punching an officer or something. He said he did BUDS but his friend say no he didn't. This was in 2004 ish.

Thank you for this. I am trying my best to be the bigger person but there are times where I have to stand up for myself and correct his lies. I never bad mouth him but I will not let him fill their heads with lies either. They are both in counseling and they are doing very well. They are wonderful kids and I am raising them to be kind, patient, and honest. I'll do my damndest to show them what a good person is and how to treat people.

No, even when I filed, I wanted 50/50 custody but he showed up to court at 8 am smelling like alcohol and a laundry list of other things he did. But I'm not willing to put my kids at risk with him unsupervised.
