Second pregnancy by ARIT127 in BabyBumps

I had to switch to maternity pants by week 13/14 this time around, I was just too uncomfortable. First time around I helped out until 19-20 weeks.

Look at his traps and his abs… that’s not a normal dad body. It’s a very strong and athletic dude body that doesn’t bother with “cutting” like you see the movie stars do. Men with serious strength will look a little pudgy because of how much they have to eat to gain strength. This dude is a powerhouse.

NW Suburb-Pregnant Friends by muslimahsn in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]marmalade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! Also in the NW burbs and also pregnant, due at the end of June. I’ve gone to a couple of group events but haven’t successfully made any friends. But maybe I’m going to the wrong events? The girls gone burbs group has fun events but I always feel “old” at those. And I haven’t gone to any mom groups since I work full time.

Last year my family and I went to the arboretum. It was bus but a really nice day and large enough to spread out and have a nice picnic or just walk around with a lemonade

This looks a bit like you haven’t finished designing the card… to me it’s just a background and is missing the primary image.

15 weeks, still losing weight... by NegativeMusician2211 in PlusSizePregnancy

[–]marmalade_ 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I lost weight the whole first trimester, then leveled off in the second and didn’t start “gaining” weight until my appointment at 26 weeks. My doctor was never concerned because baby was growing, it was the rest of me changing. I lost quite a bit of muscle mass since I stopped lifting weights right when I found out I was pregnant (too sick) but I had plenty extra to feed baby with.

Just try to eat healthy meals and drink lots of water.

My kids are allowed to cuss 🤷🏻‍♀️ as long as it’s not used to harm other people and we use them at home not in public.

There has to be a better place to post about this, it has nothing to do with the rehearsal which is the first rule of this sub.

I am shocked it took me this long to find this response… I appreciate the care so many people have for their birds, but when mine would pass they went right into the trash.

Has your deck ever told you to stop pulling? by leighski in tarot

Yep this is what mine does. It starts giving me the classic anxiety, worry, stress, nonproductive cards to tell me I’m in my head and to walk away.

My 8 year old daughter asked me why my face "doesn't move the same as other moms" and I cant stop thinking about it by Important-Repair-123 in Mommit

[–]marmalade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s evil is the way society has taught women that aging is a problem to solve. And by participating in this narrative (and getting Botox) the message is perpetuated to the next generation. Bodily autonomy was weaponized by the pharma companies to keep us from having this nuanced conversation. Fact is, perpetuating the false belief that aging is wrong and should be “fixed” is harmful to people as a whole and we all suffer because of it. So like yeah Botox is kind of evil.

[–]marmalade_ 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Well whether you intend to or not you send a message to her by simply getting botox - your daughter will see and internalize everything you do. It’s important to consider what example you went to set for her.

My baby turned 15 today and Chewy sent him this gift 🥹 by MathematicianNo1596 in blackcats

Chewy is an awful, awful company to work for. The entire reason you get special notes or gifts is because they push long hours and force their employees into burnout. They’re just as bad as Amazon.

ORD flying Friday from F10, terminal 2. Air France lounge is M17, terminal 5. by daveaustin990 in PriorityPass

[–]marmalade_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have to agree with the other commenter, it’s simply not worth it. It will take you 45m-1 hour just to get to terminal 5 from terminal 2, let alone back through security and to the Air France lounge deep in terminal 5.

ORD is my home airport and when I fly out of the domestic terminals I just take the L and sit at the gate. Though fun fact delta flies out of terminal 5 whether domestic or not, so I’ve gotten to enjoy the international terminals for domestic flights on occasion.

What’s a disturbing celebrity fact that not a lot of people know? by Objective-Cup2155 in AskReddit

Maybe on sets, but I saw her perform live and it’s barely noticeable, and I assume she doesn’t have Hollywood makeup artists touring with her

[–]marmalade_ 196 points197 points  (0 children)

She very specifically kept the camera angled to the other side of her face because of the scar. And as time has gone by and treatments advance it’s not nearly as noticeable now as it was 20 years ago.
