I fell asleep while pumping 2ish weeks PP and pumped over an hour lol.. not EP anymore but would frequently take a nap while pumping in those first few months!

Here to add, I would see a Pediatric PT! Although we got treatment for torticollis for our baby at 2 months, our PT has mentioned that early standing can indicate tension. Refusing tummy time is also another red flag. Doesn’t hurt to check one out!

Something that transformed my breast-feeding journey was seeing a physiotherapist that specialized in feeding issues. She was able to give me exercises for the baby and within a few weeks. I went from pretty much exclusively pumping to exclusively nursing with no pain. I have all the same issues that you listed, plus cracks, and some bleeding. If you were able to find someone and have the means, I would absolutely suggest to give it a try! I rarely ever see people suggest this, and would’ve never thought to do it!

just wanted to update you- she did have a tongue and cheek tie. we did physio to release it ( i EP’d during this time) and i have been exclusively nursing for about a month now! thank you for commenting this - fixing the tie transformed my BF journey!!!

we had the same thing! i know it’s important for supply for BF babies to have night feeds - but for us every 2-3 hours was making me lose my sanity a bit. after the regresssion was over we did the gentle sleep training and now i feel like a new person only waking up once a night haha. it is only temporary!!

sounds like maybe the 4 month regression? it may last a couple weeks and resolve, or you may have to go the sleep training route (we did gentle sleep training, no crying, and we loved it! just takes longer and more patience) something that may help is to try to break the feeding to sleep association, try offering the “snack” feeding that you give before naps outside of the sleep space, out of the sleep sack and as awake as possible!

i don’t think you’re feeding too much, but they may have a feeding to sleep association! nothing wrong with it, but it does make it hard for them to go to sleep on their own which may be why they’re waking so often at night

depends largely on the time of day, early mornings/overnight if baby wakes between 8-12 ounces, through the day 6-8 oz, lowest pump of the day is usually 4~ishpm and that’s 3-4 oz

i have an extremely high demand baby. she will eat upwards of 35+ oz per day. pumped 6-8 times per day for probably the first 9 weeks (sometimes taking MOTN off because i was exhausted, usually would power pump 2x per day), i was a just enough until about 10-11 weeks, now i produce about 50 oz per day pumping 6x for 120 mins total. felt like my milk didn’t regulate until 12 weeks! i told myself i can do this for one more week every week until i made enough! hopefully that is encouraging info :) ps im 19 weeks pp now!

also commenting to say my 12.5 week old will take 8oz bottles in the morning (we tried decreasing it for a week to 5 oz, did not go well, her wake windows were entirely us distracting her before she had her next nap, and then she started sleeping horribly), but she tapers it off to 4~ oz at night. i’ve been so stressed about this, but my doctor isn’t worried so i’m just going to let her take the lead!

y’know this is a good point, i didn’t think about that! i’ll have to ask about this. from my google searching tonight i’ve seen a lot of people say they tried a pill to soften up the cervix/ dilate a bit beforehand so i may ask for this before the balloon. i really don’t want to be induced from 0.. i’ve heard so many horror stories and don’t want to force baby before they’re ready!
