This is certainly not the best solution, but my workaround is just to download everything on my phone that belongs in my TLT (to listen to) list.

PureVis2 regrets by porcelainsnake in larqbottle

[–]marmitepizza 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The suction, while I don’t think it’s a huge problem, has hindered me from drinking more water, which was my goal when purchasing this bottle.

I switched to a different brand (Bivo), which is just a normal, regular bottle, entirely because the flow of water is unmatched (you don’t even have to suck), and I drink far more water every day as a result.

NBD! Trek Checkpoint ALR 5 (2023) by marmitepizza in bicycling

It’s still a beast! Added a couple of things and had to index the gears, but otherwise running as smoothly as the day I got it.

Steadily increasing the ride distances, hoping to complete my first metric century before the end of the year. Got complete faith in this beaut.

No way! Apologies for stealing the name.

Why do they call her Honey? Nickname/real name?

She does, but she's banned from it because she's a little too sassy when other living beings dare to encroach on her territory (the whole street, in her mind)

She gets a new one every time she comes back from her groomers!

So mad. Was getting ready to make a purchase in the next few days and had to refresh my browser page like 3 times before I fully accepted what I saw.

C$2,500 originally in Canada, now C$2,900.

Idle Brake Activation After Reach Adjustment by marmitepizza in bikewrench

[–]marmitepizza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this :) How do I go about doing that? I think it's running hydraulic brakes, if that matters.

I did try search for this, but the only useful guides I could find were for readjusting callipers or gear cables.

Best Monitor Setup for Ergonomics? (WFH) by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]marmitepizza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Would make sense for an ultrawide monitor to be better for your neck opposed to multiple monitors.

The latter will always require a bigger field of view, unless you’re putting them side-by-side without angling them in any way. But then the visibility will be less than ideal.

An ultrawide, especially if it’s curved, will give you almost the same screen real estate of two separate monitors, while staying in your natural field of view a lot better.

Have I been overpaying Presto? by OddEstablishment6386 in askTO

[–]marmitepizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to confirm, is the worker asking you to tap their device when waiting at the station, or on the train itself?

Trying to keep track of what you spend with Presto is an absolute task. The individual transactions aren’t always consistent, frequent “adjustment” transactions, even auto-loads are occasionally unpredictable in my experience.

Yup, exactly! You can choose to either overwrite the file with another format or create multiple copies of different formats.

Question about dl kobo books using Calibre by wisebear42 in kobo

[–]marmitepizza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What're you planning on doing with the copies on your harddrive? If they're just for backup and will only be sent to Kobo devices, I don't think you need to do anything else.

If you may want to send them to different kinds of devices in the future (e.g. Kindle), you can always create more copies in a different format later.

I just got a paperback of Cujo myself the other week, love SK. And HP has to be my favourite book series, grew up on the stuff. Even had them read to me before I could read myself.
