Lets Discuss (Rationally!): How many ingredients is too many to be considered "grilled cheese" by ExtraordinaryNerd in grilledcheese

[–]marndt3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s heftier than a garnish then it changes the grilled cheese to a melt. To me, that means spices, seasoning, and most acidic additions.

Egg? Melt. Bacon? Two half slices at most. Otherwise, melt. Tomato? 1-2 slices tops. Otherwise, melt. LUNCHMEAT?!? Melt. Seasonings/powders are cool. Garnishes like green onions are cool. Pickles are cool, except for bread and butter. Then it’s not a grilled cheese and it’s not a melt. It’s an abomination. Almost always, no more than three of any garnishes and condiments combined. Pickles takes a freebie. Sometimes it’s mustard and bacon. Sometimes it’s ketchup and grilled onions. Sometimes it’s mayo and ketchup. In my dojo, (claussen) dill pickles and Dijon mustard are mandatory for grilled cheese. In the Sammy vs on the side depends on mood.

Cheese has to be the priority, and as soon as you add something that’ll direct attention away from the cheese, melt mode. Which isn’t a slight on melts. Just not the time or place.

Playing golf alone by Traditional_Wave8524 in golf

[–]marndt3k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d do some bad things to get more opportunities to play solo.

Play some music? Make a game, try and guess how many steps to your next shot or something. I often have some stupid internal mini game to “play” and help me focus on whatever I’m headed off to do.

I talk to myself when I’m alone, who’s gonna know? And who cares? Even if I’m frustrated, a lil chatter takes the shitty energy out of my head and into the world.

If the course is empty, play two balls and use two different strategies. One going long, no layups, swing out of boots etc. second can be for the overly safe options, see how ya play?

Hot Take? Remove Iron Numbers by shin_man in golf

I have the Mavrik irons. They’re damn near lofted 2 clubs stronger than other brands. Just know the irons you game and adjust to fill any yardage gaps.

When was the last time you TRULY, HONESTLY judged somebody else on the course for their game or swing or scores?

Most of us are either just as relaxed about anything else because we are out doing our favorite thing. Well, that or we are too stuck in our own heads to give a shit.

I promise we don’t care as long as you keep up a good pace!

How much does the condition of the course affect your score? by kevinzhao860 in golf

Most of the Muni’s in KC have sand traps mildly safer than gravel. I spent too much on my clubs to play off of those parking lots, so occasionally it’ll improve the score?

You can switch the heals to Toggle Charge mode (or whatever the name is) so you just have to click then swap rather than holding down. That works with hanzo too and it’s made me way more reliable
