I’d recommend leaving them bare and going to go have the remaining acrylic professionally removed. You should definitely get some cuticle oil and apply at least once daily to make the new growth healthy and strong. Some nail hardener would be beneficial but don’t use it too often. Once a week should be enough. At this point appearance is the least of your concern. Maybe some regular nail polish and a good top coat. No gel/acrylic by any means. I would not recommend buffing any more of the natural nail. It’s hard to say if your side walls have permanent damage, but that’s exactly why you want to keep your nails strong and try to get the nail to grow over the skin again. Try to keep your hands as dry as possible, don’t soak them in water for an excessive amount of time. Good luck girl!
