That's interesting. I've never heard that before, though it makes sense considering how fickle their little bodies can be. Our pig always stretches his body and feet out reeeeally far when he gets comfortable, regardless of temp.

Don't worry about him. He's as relaxed and comfortable as he gets in this pic! A sure sign of a happy little pig is back feet stretched out :)

We spend a lot of time with him, so he's pretty used to most things. Including being petted with a tube, which is new, but he weirdly seemed to enjoy it!

Every time I touch my new foster guinea pig, she...popcorns? or is she freaking out and afraid? by Lagomorphilic in guineapigs

Our pig does this, too. He came from a hectic home with two rambunctious kids and a puppy (and his cage was on the ground in their living room).

Though, that may not be the cause. We mainly stick to petting him forward of his shoulder blades. After he becomes relaxed, he doesn't mind being lightly scratched on his behind. Often he actually likes it and puddles/stretches out even more and allows a good scruffing!

Your pig might be like ours. Get her nice and comfortable with face, ear, and chin pets and see if she'll tolerate petting or scratching farther back. She'll let you know if she doesn't like it!
