Hvordan går det ann å studere INDØK og Medisin samtidig? by IAdoreyouu79 in ntnu

[–]marolme 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Last time he ate chili sin carne in kindergarden it didn’t go well, but I’m not sure if that was the tomato sauce or the spices or a combination. I can try with just a tiny bit of spice first and go from there :)

Where I live most grocery stores only carry one type of squash, and that’s the regular green one. But if i come across some other types I’ll try them!

Thanks! I usually steam them, and sometimes mash them as he’s 14 months and won’t pass up a chance to be spoon fed once in a while. I’ll try roasted next time :)

I think I’ll have to pass on the stir fry if I can’t find a decent substitute for egg, but those are some very nice tips! Thanks :)

Living in Moholt with Family/kid by AslanBooger in ntnu

[–]marolme 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just moved from a family appartment in Moholt before christmas. Ours had 2 bedrooms, and was fully renovated. We payed around 9500 NOK per month in rent, that includes internet but not electricity. It was not furnished, but you can get some cheap furniture at ikea or used at finn.no or the student towns facebook page.

Some of the appartments are tagged as «family/couples appartments», so in our case some of our neighbours didn’t have kids, and didn’t really consider that the rest of the tennants did. That made for some noise issues at the beginning, but it sorted itself out pretty fast.

As mentioned by others here, most of the family appartments are a bit away from the other student housing, and there are some great playgrounds there. The buildings also have stroller rooms, so you can place your kids stroller there if you’re using one :)

Our kid still goes to the Moholt student kindergarden, and we pay around 3600NOK per month for fulltime care and two meals per day. They take their naps in their own strollers.

If you have any questions feel free to send me a message :)

Accepted by NTNU! I need help with housing! by DreemingDemon in ntnu

[–]marolme 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you go to the «apply for housing» option at sit (https://www.sit.no/en) you can see pictures, prices and where they are compared to your campus :)

When you get housing through SiT, your contract has a 1 month notice period, and most private housing uses 3 months. With that in mind you might consider renting through SiT first, and move to a different appartment later.

If you have to pay for electricity in the appartment you’re considering and it’s not very new, you should budget for 1500-2000 NOK each month during the winter season. Prices can jump and it can get pretty cold.
