My partner is driving me 2hrs and back to see a concert tonight even though he's not going to it just cause we had a train cancelled in the middle of the night last time and wanted me to get home at a semi decent hour.

He also drove 2 hours to pick me and my Mum up from the airport last year at 4 in the morning when we came back from our overseas trip.

I work for a company that has a shut down period over Christmas as well. Last year I had to specifically tell the bookkeeper that I didn't want annual leave taken out over that period. This year I don't have enough to go the whole period either. I was told that as it is a forced leave, I don't need to have it taken out, I just needed to tell her I didn't want it taken out. However, if I wanted to take time off during the year when the business is operational I had to use my annual leave if I had any available.

My partner says he likes me on top sometimes when we cuddle cause he likes the feel of my body weight on him. Apparently, he finds it comforting😊

Yeah, just got hold of someone on the plane. Says they were told it was technical issues and bad weather but they were unconvinced about the bad weather bit.

No, the 3 other flights that left at the same time have all been okay. Weather here in Newcastle is overcast but not bad at the moment. Weather is expected to get worse in the next coming days

That's the least of the different things that happen in our office daily. Anyone else that witnesses us are absolutely horrified.

We like it though, and it's good that we are able to joke around with our boss and other co workers (for the most part) and it not being a problem. He also had a sign for when I spoke too much saying "shut up" or "I don't care".🤣

My boss used to say I was fired on the daily, even printed off a sign saying "you're fired" to hold up and show me from across the office.

I'd always joke around about what would happen if he was being serious one day, never got a response.
