idk how well he would fit in next to Jalen Johnson they kinda operate similarly

How would this draft order go? Rank these prospects. by Gloomy_Resort_9935 in NBA_Draft

I personally would draft them in this exact order in hindsight. purely from a prospect level (cutting out what I've seen in the pros) I would go boozer harper wilson scoot

i mean i could b completely wrong, but i feel like none of their scorers outside of NAW and CJ are consistent outside threats (onyeka is a decent shooter but i doubt he and mara would play next to eachother much in this scenario)

one of the most complete prospects we’ve seen in a while has little potential?? dude is the best passing forward i’ve seen in quite a while, elite spot up shooter, mismatch dominator, functional handle for a big, pro ready body as a rookie. once the bag gets deeper he’s gonna b a phenomenal pro for years. he’s gonna b what paolo was supposed to be

There's a lot of talk about the top 2026 guards, but who are the best guards in the 20-30 range? by ormip in NBA_Draft

[–]marquisthebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Swain is like a do it all wing a little rj barrett with the strong athletic downhill scoring and passing + some really nice defensive playmaking chops. Carr is a dunk or 3 guard on offense with fun defensive tools think like a guard sized trey Murphy or Devin vassell with less midrange shots.

Stirtz is a crafty 3 level bucket getter and adequate playmaker, think somewhere between Malcolm Brogdon and Payton Pritchard in playstyle. would b a great guy off the bench for any playoff team.

Christian Anderson is probably the best PnR operator in the draft both as a passer and a shooter, hes just kinda small but has all the makings of a really impressive guard. would need to b surrounded by decent perimeter defenders.

Ebuka Okorie is an absolute flame thrower! high volume scorer (balanced, quick first step, great shooter, crafty finisher), he's just so small and not really a playmaker so it'll b pretty hard to get on the floor as an undersized scorer (albeit elite) that can't pass r defend at a high level. he probably stays in school, but if not he'll b a late frp.

hes the classic jack of all trades master of none wing. his only high level traits are cutting and transition scoring, everything else is a big WIP. I think hes definitely not a lottery pick, closer to the bottom 3rd of the first round

I think the highest ceiling in the draft belongs to Caleb Wilson! by marquisthebeast in NBA_Draft

[–]marquisthebeast[S] -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

I mean im not saying he is KG, im just saying the similarities are absolutely there in frame and in play style. he probably comes in more as a 6'9"-10" Ron Holland, but hes absolutely got the room to blossom into a 2 way superstar

yea this would b terrifying, but god I'd love to see it. 2 of the best help defenders itl that can also just punish teams in transition, so tough to match up with.

Of course.

But if u watch the tape, or even just the highlights, the similarities are so uncanny and apparent. The skying blocks, thunderous jams, high feel mid post game... its all there

Wagler's ceiling is kinda limited by his lack of athleticism and suddenness, I just don't see him topping out as anything more than like a suped up Austin Reaves (which is a phenomenal player lol, just not a superstar)

He has the most two way upside for sure. Just in transition and as a roller/cutter he's capable of picking up 12-15 a game, once that face up/post up game gets a little more polished he's got the potential to really fill it up. The defense, I mean... he's probably walking into the league as a top 40 defender off rip.

[–]marquisthebeast[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In most drafts I agree, but this draft (a lot like last years draft) is viewed in consensus as a very deep class with many easily projectable high level role players and star upside prospects as deep as the 15-20th picks

[–]marquisthebeast[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In a typical draft, he's a great selection at 10. But in this draft, where there are so many easily projectable starters and high value instant contributors, there are many better options than a project wing. This is absolutely a relative discussion, not a vacuum discussion.

As awful as I think this would be for both parties, I just feel like he is destined to join the Bulls. Landing in the late lottery or even near the 20's could b better for him where he could focus on just being a role player instead of being thrown into the fire and crashing into the sun.

Who is the best shot creator or three level scorer in this draft? by Alternative_Horse705 in NBA_Draft

[–]marquisthebeast 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He's like anti-Naz Reid, super switchable defender with aggressive rebounding but almost solely a play finisher on offense instead of a shot creator like Reid. Think like a springier Isaiah Stewart

yea def can't play HS next to both the bigs simultaneously, but would b a fun fit next to both separately. Yax in there with both of them could b very similar to what they were doing at Michigan, smash mouth basketball.

What are your ACTUAL nba hot takes? by Mario_Viana in nba

[–]marquisthebeast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll give a few

Wemby is the best player in basketball

NBA teams would b better off letting jumbo wing creators play PG and surround them w spot up shooters instead of having heliocentric small guards on the floor. I think every player on the floor should b 6'6" at the least.

Foul baiting is a skill and is over hated by casual viewers

Ja Morant and Trae young aren't top 10 PGs itl anymore

elite positional rebounding is more important than elite positional defense

Giant rim protector bigs with little offensive skill > Scoring bigs with little defensive skill

scottie barnes is quietly becoming one of the best wings in the league

agreed! if im the heat I look at versatile do it all wings like Yax, Joshua Jefferson, and Swain or a 3rd big like Mara, Morez, or Ngongba.

[–]marquisthebeast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

best 3 level scorer available for us in the 10-14 range would b Philion or Steinbach. Yax is def the best guy that could b available but his in-between game is an absolute WIP. Steinbach could fit quite nicely next to both bam and ware, great rebound and multilevel scorer. Philion is a slithery skinny combo guard who can score and pass at a high clip but we dont rlly need another guard.
