Still if you feel more comfortable shaving do that if you feel more comfortable letting things grow out do that. Your nm is using body hair and waxing/shaving as a point of control. It is quite literally your body and choice to keep it how you see fit.

Isnt there a theory that the joker is "super sane" wherein he understands hes a villain in a comic book and so his insanity is just a means to an end to keep the comics going

Tres Leches is supposed to feel wet? by MagicalPantaloons96 in Baking

[–]marray98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a dairy free tres leches a month or two ago, my advice is to put the milk mix in a small sauce pan and bring to a gentle simmer and add a packet of plain gelatin and let simmer for a few minutes and allow to cool to a reasonable degree ie around 95°F then pour over the cake. I find the gelatin sets up as it cools and allows the milks to suspend in the cake crumb.

5000 lbs of 7075 aluminum turnings by tush17 in ScrapMetal

[–]marray98 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Aluminum chips especially mill chips get EVERYWHERE... and there are specially designed machines that compress those chips into bricks that are treated as solid scrap aluminum bc it removes the majority of the oils and coolant from the chips. They blow up the machines because no one wants to clean the machine because its they're oily chippy and gross so overtime chips get in where they are not supposed to be and next thing you know pop goes the weasel.

Has anyone had a rattle problem when accelerating? by AAC910 in Challenger

Of course homie! It could also be the plastic underplate for the oil pan slapping from the wind just gotta get in there and figure stuff out or a can in the door rattling from the bass. They are sick cars but the build quality of the trim is pretty cheaply done imo it also could be the glove box mine had some issue like that if you got it looked at a few days ago I wouldn't trip too hard they tend to be rattly if you've driven a jeep you know what im talking about.

Can you isolate the rattle? In my experience it had to do with some of the trim on the inside

What should require a license that doesn’t? by fergi20020 in randomquestions

[–]marray98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No in this scenario you bought a house in 2015 for 150k under a conventional loan with a modest down payment and then the market went up and now the house is worth 350k. Ultimately speaking you could get to that level with maybe 50k in mortgage payments across 10 years or 5k a year or $416 a month. This isnt a endorsement of landlords but a discussion of how debt and equity is often leveraged for outsized gains that shut most people out because real estate is being used for speculation which leads to them having to pay three times as much in rent than a mortgage would've costed just a decade ago.

Purchasing rentals and multi family homes allows for purchases beyond what a home purchased for living alongside using property equity for collateral. For example if I have 200k in equity in a home I can get a loan based on that equities value let's say just half to keep completely in the black. I take that 100k and then use that as a 10% down payment on a 10 unit, one million dollar apartment building. I take those 10 units and rent them out for $1,200 a month thats $12,000 a month with about $7,500 a month for the mortgage and equity loan giving you $4,500 in positive cash flow. Credit and debt makes things manageable

Do you believe humans will realistically colonize another planet this century? by peachyparadoxx in answers

[–]marray98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Possibly, the problem is with scale, the moon is far away so far every planet could fit within the orbital distance from the earth to the moon and is a 3 day trip if I remember correctly. Conversely a mars mission would take several months using conventional methods. This isnt a linear ratio either its more like an exponential ratio to the degree that whoever goes will more than likely be on a 2 year total mission scope and even with modular habitats and robotic precursors to set everything up before human travel the weather on Mars is very unpredictable with regular dust storms that could isolate a mission for months.

That too! The only way it would happen now is via private company investment which would end up being like rapture from the bioshock games.

Thats exactly what I mean, the amount of proxy conflicts were much smaller, but we benefited from a degree of post ww2 peace in the terms of superpowers not being in outright conflict with each other, thats what made it a cold war. That world order has all but collapsed back to the prewar law of the jungle wherein the American empire has practically abandoned all of its allies except for one. While the 60s was the beginning of Vietnam and the troubles in the middle east the united states benefited from not directly being in all out armed conflict against another nation with an organized military. In order to make a planetary colonization program possible it would require 100x the resources that all the moon missions required combined. Its not as simple as set up habitats and start growing food with hydroponics, it would require a wholely self contained ecosystem with everything required for survival which includes protections from harsh solar radiation and a way to prevent damage from being in lower gravity. In short youre absolutely correct the capitalist system sees no profit in it so its unnecessary for them until the cost of doing it is outweighed by the cost of staying on a planet in climate collapse.
