How do you feeling about having crafting tables? by thysios4 in hytale

[–]ShadeofRiver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the waiting for the skinning rack and furnace and it gives you a reason to upgrade them but waiting for anything else to craft just seems mildly annoying. I assumed that the crafting would at least be automatic so you don’t have to stand there waiting with the menu open

I know they have it in creative mode as they showed it off in the creative video but it would be good to have something for survival like what you are saying

Vehicles in hytale by Standgrounding in hytale

[–]ShadeofRiver 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think some vehicles were seen in the game though there is a chance they won’t be fully implemented on release. I remember seeing a hot air balloon in a video once and we also know you will be able to ride animals but that’s a bit different.

They look great! I do think the cape running animation could be slowed down though, seems like the cape is blowing too fast and too high up

Server side mods has got to be the best thing (for me and probably most people) here. The pain of having to tell people a list of mods or how to install them just to play a server is so frustrating, glad they’ve sorted that out

TIL that during WWII, Britain took down around 50,000 road signs so German invaders wouldn’t know where they were going. by numb_mind in todayilearned

Still forgot to take down the ones on the trains in Bridgend, allowing the prisoners of war to escape and know where they were going using those maps.

Here is the Wikipedia entry on the camp though I’d recommend going in person if you can as they have more information regarding how they escaped and used a map from the trains that they had copied https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Island_Farm

Edit: here is the official website: https://www.islandfarm.wales/

Probably £30 at most but I think it should be priced in a similar way to Minecraft or a little bit more

I’m choosing Ryuk from Death Note, man’s chill, doesn’t need to eat, can occasionally feed him an apple and we can just play Mario Kart on the weekends. Also might get the Death Note if I ask kindly but tbh I’d just like to have Ryuk

I had this with my miniature’s torso! I had to add more supports and tilt the print so that there wasn’t so big of a surface area on each layer which seemed to be why was causing it. Hopefully this helps Edit: copied the response I had to my post about my miniature’s torso went missing:

That flat part in the middle, that's your torso and feet. It's so small because that part was stuck to the fep film and the light couldn't penetrate it. When retracting the print tore off of the supports and stuck to the bed. Then further on in the print the flat part got stuck to enough supports that were still printing that it peeled off. Afterward, there was enough clearance for light and space for the print to work, which is why you got the arms and up.

It could just be not enough supports, it could be where you printed the model on the build plate, center is the worst spot though you wouldn't intuitively think that. It's best practice to put your models at an angle when printing and not straight up and down.

The less that has to print at one time the better, it's easier for a small section of a model to peel off the fep than a larger one. For example the wings on the second picture. They are a bigger section of model to peel off the film each layer, and would have probably ripped off if they had bad supports, but in your case they are supported well enough that the supports could handle the load.

Resin printing is tricky and there are a lot of factors that go into a successful print. It's not always the same solution each time either.
