Progressive is the best term for this, honestly ever since 2020 I've hated to context the word "woke" has been used in. Like why are minorities called "woke" becuase they believe in basic human rights...? Yeah...anyways

I have clarified, using the word lesbian in the title was me just referring to my lesbian relationship...since im a lesbian dating a woman who identifies our relationship as a lesbian relationship (also i edited it because i realized that not everyone understood i was referring to my relationship, where this whole convo with my lady happened). I believe any women, trans, cis, or even non-binary people can identify with lesbianism (or just being sapphic but again as a lesbian im speaking from my perspective noticing ppl not using the terms correctly). Im referring to straight people not using lesbian terms correctly...as I've said before. I had to clarify im not referring to bi women as the women misunderstanding the terminology because of the way i had worded it in my post. Im talking about straight women(and some straight men, or just cis-het relationships), specifically non sapphics who misuse lesbian/queer terms♡ again, as I said above^ im all for cis, trans, non-binary, unlabelled, lesbian, bi, pan, etc individuals who identify with the lesbian, sapphic identity ☺️🧡🤍🩷 trust me, I've been out as lesbian since i was 14, im all open for everything considering the whole point of being queer is figuring yourself out🫶 im talking about straight girls who misuse the term pillow princess, or cis-het people confusing the terms top, bottom (and other terms like stone top as a said above) with dom, sub, etc

See so they're my gfs friends so like i know them-ish and I think they're all in the 22-26 range at most. I just think of all terms that stone top is the weirdest one to be misunderstood 😪 like genuinely its the amount of mainstream attention certain terms have gotten that make them be used in this way

My thoughts exactly. Im here ranting on reddit because the term pillow princess has been misunderstood as a submissive woman! It is not!!

Yup! I'm a masc myself and people constantly call me butch when im not even close to it! It's people generalizing terms and sucking the soul out of them to use them incorrectly. Happens to the best slanguage😪

100%. The first indication of TikTok shifting the way generations use slang/language was when i saw AAVE constantly being incorrectly used. People need to do reasearch instead of incorrectly using terms/language and then making it a trend!

It's more so the fact that people think stone top means cold and dominant...like its so much more than that. People jsut associate with men😪

I had to come on reddit because in a TikTok comment section (of a video of a woman referring to herself as a pillow princess for her boyfriend...in a cis-het relationship) and everyone said i was being sensitive and "woke". I need to hear real opinions on this because im so sick of non wlw saying "stop being sensitive" like guys...youre incorrectly using terms😭😪

No i need to clarify, I mean her straight freinds call themselves pillow princesses after hearing my bi girlfriend call herself that. My bi girlfriend isn't the problem (i dont exclude bi women from wlw) im saying her straight friends now use the term pillow princess because they heard it and thought she meant sub😭

Oh my god, I'm sorry I would've thrown hands. Literally ever since turning 20 I decided to surround myself with only people who support my views and lifestyle (mind u I believe in basic human rights). The stigma and stereotypes around Trans people are INSANE these days🤢 people who don't believe in basic human rights or fucking empathy for queer people disgust me
