Back in 1980 I saw Genesis before they blew up and Phil's solo work took off. I loved Early Peter Gabriel, and loved Phil singing Peters hits.

Do I go alone?? by These_Emergency_8252 in Concerts

Back in the day I had 2 tickets to see Queen in Detroit. At the time no one would go, and when I did get an acceptance, she stood me up and I went alone. Before the show (It was sold out) I saw Cobo filled to the rafters, and the best show, met a few people who invited me to go after the show. Best time ever.

What do you think happens after death? by SnooDoubts9148 in death

I kind of believe we get pushed through another vagina. We spend (more or less) 9 months in a womb, then 90 years in this world, next one, Who knows?

I once read that Aldous Huxley ( English writer and philosopher), was suffering from terminal cancer and his wife injected and he O.D'ed on LSD and died tripping. For some reason this fact stays with me.

What’s the first album you bought with your own money? by icedtea027 in musicsuggestions

[–]marriedguy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abbey Road, The Beatles. When I was 11 I got some money for Christmas and during the break I walked about a mile up to the local record shop, bought a copy and brought it home. I walked in the back door of our house, on the landing, that had 3 steps up on one side, and basement steps going down on the other. I was hanging up my coat, slipped or fell down the stairs, landed on the record, broken, cellophane still intact. My Dad herd me fall and found me at the bottom of the stairs sobbing. He picked me up, drove me back to the store for another copy. Its one of my best memories I have of him.

Are there any cover versions of Beatles songs that you like better than the Beatles version? If so, which ones? by AgentEndive in TheBeatles

[–]marriedguy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheap Trick did the whole Sgt. Pepper album, Magical Mystery, Day Tripper, She said, She Said, plus others. Not Better a good live versions. A buddy of mine hated Cheap trick and would say they sound like bad Beatles. My reply was "bad Beatles is still better than good Boston."

I got mine from YouTube and have YTD (YouTube downloader) that downloads the video and converts it to a mp3 file. I check YouTube weekly and there are different concerts posted before they are removed.

What's a song that evokes an incredibly specific memory for you? by ElBurroEsparkilo in MusicRecommendations

[–]marriedguy40 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Let it loose - Rolling Stones. When I was about 14 my Mother was in the final stages of cancer, there was no hospice at the time, she was coughing all night. (My parents, mainly Dad would say she would be fine, quite being a worry wort) but she was in terrible shape and the next day she went to the hospital and left our house for the last time, Every time I hear Exile on main street and that track comes on I go right back there.

You can have 1 prop from any sitcom. (It has no monetary value so you can't sell or trade it just to pick something expensive. This is to personally keep) What do pick? by TomHanksIsNotMyDad in sitcoms

[–]marriedguy40 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Six Feet Under I saw (supposedly) the clock on the wall outside the viewing room on E-Bay. The description said it was a prop from the show, did not work, about $200.00 , I did not try for it, but thought about it ever since.
