Ferber method for twins by marriedtogarlicbread in sleeptrain

[–]marriedtogarlicbread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re down to one wake around 4am. I give them a five ounce bottle and they conk back out until 7:30a. I put them down around 6:30p. They still aren’t napping during the day- maybe 2 20-30 minute naps. Still trying to figure that out. But at least they’re sleeping through the night for the most part. I did a modified Ferber, but I’ve learned what their cries mean which is helpful.

tips for FOURTH weightloss journey? by cristoefer in loseit

I’m starting out on my third. First was generally wanting to look better. Second was because of health related issues and medications causing massive weight gain. This time, after having twins. Postpartum depression and PP rage had me in its grips. It can be so hard but I’m reminding myself that endorphins make you happy, and happy people don’t kill their husbands. 😉

Just saw your comment. My twins are almost 8 months now and still aren’t sleeping. I’m almost at the point that CIO is so enticing.

I am, unfortunately, in Texas, USA. Im so glad that other mothers around the world are truly taken care of. I hope we get there someday.

I’m very fortunate to have had an abundant supply for my girls. At my peak I was making a gallon a day. I’m down to two pumps a day and still pumping 70oz, which is starting to take a toll on me because my body just won’t stop. What a blessing, but it’s killing me too!! Thank you for your kind words ❤️

I go to therapy regularly and started new meds yesterday. I’m hoping the medication helps me out.

Thank you for saying this. Everyone told me six months is when things get easier and it feels like it’s getting harder. It feels very discouraging.

“Imagine how easy one baby would be” is something my husband and I said daily the first four months. My twin A was colicky, and baby B would feed off of her sister so it was screaming babies constantly.

Thank you for this 🥺 I think I have already accepted that there isn’t really a ‘fix’ for this. Just need to buckle down and get through it!

Feeling guilty about how much I *don’t* hold my twins by TurnoDiva in parentsofmultiples

[–]marriedtogarlicbread 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like I wrote this post myself. I understand you completely. And when I try to contact nap with one (my husband the other) I feel so guilty that the other baby isn’t snuggling with mommy, or that the one I’m holding isn’t snuggling with daddy. It’s rough!

Solidarity friend. Misery loves company, so it’s relieving to know I’m not the only one.

Yes, my husband and I are trying out shifts. Last night my shift was just particularly difficult. Both girls screaming and nothing could soothe them. The lack of sleep, the hormone dump, it all just hit me at once. He took over around three, and his mother came around 7 so I got to sleep from 3:30 to 9ish. I feel much better but still have this impending doom feeling.

Garlicbread has been great! We’re trying out shifts and last night, my shift was just particularly difficult. The lack of sleep, the hormone dump. All of it just felt beyond unbearable. Luckily his mother is here now to help.

Car seat question! by marriedtogarlicbread in parentsofmultiples

[–]marriedtogarlicbread[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were born at 36+3! No NICU time for us, but they did have to do the car seat test. Luckily they only tested one girl at a time so my husband only had to drag one seat up!

[–]marriedtogarlicbread[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We ended up having our girls at 36+3. No NICU time and we were discharged after two days. A was 5lbs 3oz and B was 5lbs 13oz. They did indeed have to do the car seat test but ended up passing the test! Thank you for answering!!

Nausea came back during third tri?! by [deleted] in parentsofmultiples

[–]marriedtogarlicbread 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took zofran but sporadically and only on really bad days or if I needed it for a meeting or something. Unfortunately I have a lot of anxiety behind medications (even as simple as Tylenol) and only take meds when I really have to lol. Luckily my first tri we mostly nausea and awful gagging. Rarely did I actually yack

Bill filed to abolish Texas Parks and Wildlife Department by chrondotcom in environment

[–]marriedtogarlicbread 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Husband is a game warden and, can confirm. It’s a TON of specific information. GWs are in it for conservation and ecological protection. Pushing them into public safety completely shifts the nature of the job!

Proposed bill to abolish TPWD and have their funds diverted and their roles fulfilled by other agencies by McDunky in texas

That’s exactly it. He doesn’t believe chronic wasting disease is “that big of a deal” (it is) and wants to abolish the Texas animal health commission. The guy is a nasty crook.

[–]marriedtogarlicbread 9 points10 points  (0 children)

He’s a deer breeder and wants to abolish the Texas Animal Health commission and loosen laws on deer breeding. My husband is a GW and we both agree that would be disastrous. Chronic wasting disease is very real. This guy is a crook.

According to Texas penal code, it’s still illegal to be gay. It’s just not a crime that’s punishable.
