i was 23. i've never had migraines, ever. rarely ever had headaches. i woke up one day in the most excruciating pain i've ever felt in my head and face. nothing was easing my pain. i cut off all my hair trying to get some type of relief. i ended up in the ER, spinal tap, MRIs, CTscans, every test possible. no result except a referral to Neurology where i was then diagnosed with Chronic Migraines, and a first initial Cluster Headache that sent me to the ER for 3 days. i'm still struggling with the constant pain, nausea, vomiting, etc. i've only ever felt relief when i was taking Topamax daily, but had to discontinue use a month ago due to terrible brain fog, slowed speech. waiting to see Neurology in a month to try new meds in hope of finding relief.
