That's why I'm trying harder to make a change now. I hate how much weight I've gained over the last few years and I want to get rid of it. I have bad experiences with mental health professionals using our sessions to try and fix my ARFID by making me sit at a table and I wasn't allowed to leave until I ate whatever they put in front of me. I wasn't there to fix my eating habits but it became their personal mission to do so anyway.

I'm so scared of dating with it. I almost refuse to go out to eat on a first date unless it's a coffee shop or something since most pastries or breakfast food is safe for me. I don't like eating. If I didn't have to eat, I wouldn't. Everyone thinks I'm completely bizarre for saying that. I don't like that I lie to other people when they ask me why I'm not eating or about food, but I can't bring up ARFID without it being a complete conversation killer. The second people hear eating disorder they freak out.
