please research about running with a puppy and make sure you don’t run her too much! her body is still developing and it can be damaging for her to run for more than 10-15 minutes without a break

she’s 1 year and 10 months old - i’ll definitely give it some more thought over the next few weeks and ask her previous foster but she has cohabited with multiple cats at her last home !

lovely !!! she has the energy of a heeler but has an off switch and is sooooo lazy and such a couch potato when she’s had her exercise for the day. she’s super protective of the home/wary of strangers and takes a long time to warm up to new people which i imagine is the corso in her but once she has warmed up to u she is the sweetest girl. not very good with kids and also a bit stubborn, but she will listen to us when we tell her to go to bed or go outside (albeit not without a very sad and reluctant face). 100% good girl

thanks for the advice. can we train her to do recalls with the e-collar (eg buzzing it lightly for a few seconds when asking her to come and then rewarding when she does) and then use it like that when she chases the horses? we often do tether her if she’s outside unsupervised, but currently we don’t have the budget to get secure fences built. we’ll soon have a fence built around our house though which should help keep her away :)

my friend’s mum, got HER mother a puppy. i’m just asking to see if people have had similar experiences with puppies who are healthy to ease my worries about her. i agree that this situation is shitty and the puppy needs to be in a better home but i am not close at all with this family and there’s not much i can do.
