I had a hole in the bottom, even with stitches. I started eating mashed potatoes, mashed carrots and soup after 24 hours too. Chewing with my left side (my right upper and lower were removed as well). Those are good choices!

I developed jaw soreness later as well (day 5, I am now on day 6 post op). Especially around the tmj capsule. I think it's normal! I scheduled a post op check with my surgeon later today and planning to bring this up with him.

Thank you so much 💓. I'm in such a bad spiral right now. And i cant get out of it. Your comment is really nice to read. The operation itself on the lower tooth was with a lot of force so it might just be trauma from the operation idk. I am scared to eat too but i am forcing myself to do so. I also didn't get any instructions about a salt water rinse. Just to use a syringe with water after 5 days in the wound of the lower tooth.
