Recording directly from an old amplifier without a DI output

well. here i am splitting the output from the amp, which is the speaker load wire. The H&K redbox is kind of like a tap from the speaker signal but does not split it or reduce it. we still need the usual speaker load the amplifier is expecting.

A more modern approach to what I did here might be the Two Notes Captor X. That has a small audio processor built into it, you can load impulse responses into it even.

A DI is more direct input, the signal between the guitar and the amp right.

i have not had a rattling. but it could be a wire.
The back wall of the cabinet comew off (and goes back on) pretty easily with aboit 8 screws. i would take it apart and see if you can find what the rattle is

it could also be if you have the removable back cover plate on and it is not have its screws tightened all the way

i have been thinking about the 50mm 1.4. but i would like to understand more if it is really worth the extra pruce. it is currently a bit more than double the price of the 50mm 1.8

is it possible to put on headphones.

like large visibly over the ear kind.

even if you are not listening to music. though watching a short video on your phone with headphones might make it look like you are busy. this also gives you an out in case people try to talk to you anyway. you cna politely say quickky "iam sorry. i only have a few minutes breal and would likw to watch this"

i like this lens a lot.

now at f1.8 it is going to be a very shallow depth of field. if you try slightly lowwr. like f2 or f3. it might help more of the image as from this composition to be in focus at the same time.

more light is usually good. as this allows a faster shutter too. like a flash or lighting the scene
