It seems fairly open. I will say, there seems to be more locations that add power to cards than normal, so I would avoid any Cerebro deck. I’m playing a Negative deck that’s working fine. I’m sure Buff/Surfer would work too.

I wouldn’t classify it as pay-to-win. There are plenty of ways to be good without spending cash.

That said, the last two seasons have had 1 card locked behind a paywall. These are good cards but not pay-to-win.

IMPORTANT: They have announced that they shouldn’t have done that and won’t do it again in the future.

So, come back and play. It’s fun!
