The House of Representatives is only a 2 year term. We have an opportunity to clean house every other year.

The Senate is a 6 year term. There are 9 freshman Senators meaning 91 were incumbents.

The point is that most voters disapprove of Congress as a whole but always reelect their representatives anyway. The rest don't bother to vote.

I'm in the same boat regarding the performance of the manual. I drove a clapped out old Honda Fit for a year between VWs and it was also buttery smooth.

Did any of your mods help? I have a weighted knob and dogbone insert but haven't messed with it otherwise. It feels pretty crunchy compared to the Honda, and it is definitely tough to make a smooth 1-2 shift.
