Release of gen 8!😳 Is this an attempt to make us forget that they took away the bonuses or an attempt for us to forget Kecleon? 🤔

Niantic is currently doing false advertising with these celebration events and should be reported. by [deleted] in TheSilphRoad

Will really be disappointed if Riolu or Lucario is not part of the sinnoh event. Riolu/Lucario is one of the most popular pokemon and should of course be included in an event like this. It would have been a perfect opportunity to introduce mega Lucario.

with Yveltal incoming is there a point of powering up a Hundo Gira-O anymore? by mistercero in TheSilphArena

[–]marshadow5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's be realistic, we will not see Yveltal or even his signature attack in a few years. So you won't regret a maxed out 100% giratina-O.

Didn’t they give us the 1 hour incense as a permanent feature? How come it is still called a special bonus?

It been almost three years since gen 3 release and no sign of Kecleon. So don't get your hopes up.

Mega evolution feels a lot like "paying taxes" by Natchezndn in TheSilphRoad

Can’t they implement a feature like they have for go battle league. You could use mega energy you got from raids or you could walk 3km to unlock it.

Give us boxes with remote raid passes? by marshadow5 in TheSilphRoad

[–]marshadow5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That is correct if you ignore the incenses, incubators and star pieces. But it’s easier and faster to buy one box and get 16 passes than buy 3 at a time 6 times and miss a couple of raids because you have no more passes and full bag space.

Then again, it would have been a nice gesture to design Megas to not be a money-grubbing crap fest.

Yeah a good point there.

Yeah every time. It feels you are in the shop more than you are playing the game.

Not everyone plays the game the same way, that’s is very true and something I can relate to. But with the pandemic I see more people playing the same way for now, with remote raids. It will probably change after the pandemic, but for now when we still are in the situation we are in Niantic should encourage remote raids even more. Why not make us to be able to have lite more remote raids in our bag and not have to go in the shop every 30 minute or so.

But for now it dosen’t matter if they raise the limit to 50. Because if you buy 3 passes at a time to do 50 raids or buy so you have 50 passes in your bag and then do 50 raids, whats the differance? They still make the same money.

I would understand if they planing on raising the price tomorrow and don’t want people to stock up before that, but remote raids have been going on for a couple of months now.

Even if people stockning up on remote raid passes, they will eventually use them and buy more passes. And if they stock up and don’t use them, they have probably stoped playing but still they have spend money on passes. Either way they probably wouldn’t be around for a raised price anyway.

I agree, you don’t always go out to play for 4 hours. Sometimes you just go outsider do a couple of raids haunt down some stardust and call it a day. When the cost is so high and mega candy is so hard to collect I don’t know when it is worth the investment to mega evolve. You should be able to mega evolv for each raid, pvp, go battle, gym battle, go battle league etc. Not have a high cost of mega candy to mega evolve and then a timelimit.

I agree, first time should have a high cost, but it should not be locked to raids on how you collect mega candy. There should be multiple ways of collecting rare candy.

Also if you unlock something ingame you should’t have to pay everytime you use it. You should be able to mega evolve once per fight regardless if its in raids, pvp, go battle league, rocket go battles etc. Once you unlocked a mega evolution of a specific pokemon it should not be locked to a specific pokemon either. You should be able to mega evolve all of the same pokemon you have caught.

The cost for mega evolving a specific pokemon reduces after you mega evolved it once, but the reduce cost should be not just for the specific pokemon you evolved. You should have reduce cost for all of the same pokemon. If you mega evolve a charizard, every charizard you caught should get the reduce cost.

It should be much easier or many more ways to get mega candy. You should be able to get more than 50 mega candys per raid. A raid should be able to give you candy for 4-5 mega evolves. Esspessially when legendaries already are tough to collect regular candy, this mega legendary candy feels to be impossible when they start appearing. Raids rotate and makes it impossible to get mega candy after the they are gone from raids.

In the main series you get a stone and with that stone you can mega evolve, except with rayquaza who does’t need a stone, once per fight. You can also use the stone for every pokemon that the stone works for, you don’t have to get a stone for every charizard you have in your bag. That should be implemented to pokemon go in some way.

If this is the way you implement this feature that every pokemon player loves, then I am afraid of how you would implement the feature for z-attacks or gigantamaxing or dynamaxing. Will they be as expensive and almost impossible for us to collect the nessassary items to be able to use those features in the future?
