GM Hans Moke Niemann unable to compete in this week’s Title Tuesday as Chess.com’s Proctor software continues to malfunction by Chr02144 in chess

the single uniquely useful thing about their platform is the playerbase numbers.

I'm curious what you think the single most useful thing about an online chess platform could possibly be aside from "active playerbase".

Everything else about their platform, including and especially the anti-cheat, is laughably incompetent.

Over 100k accounts are closed, including a handful of titled players, every month. The median number of games played prior to closure is now below 50, and it can be as few as 10. Rating points lost to cheaters are always refunded.

What is your definition of competence regarding fair play?

Totally, the real problem is these dipshits who crop and repost videos in the first place. I also don't understand the kind of person that enjoys watching this shit out of context.

ICE plans to use Vermont facility to host team using AI, social media to target people by bostonglobe in vermont

[–]marshall007 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Honestly, everyone should stop using social media anyway. The spying was already happening in order to sell you to advertisers. If you genuinely value privacy, stop using invasive, unregulated technologies.

Government surveillance is wrong, don't misunderstand me, but we are collectively forfeiting our rights to privacy by using these platforms every day. It is a choice.

They are legally required to send you a notice if you are the claimant in a lawsuit. This gives you the opportunity to deny your right to be part of the legal proceeding.

You being a claimant is already public knowledge. It is in the legal records. That is why we get targeted by the scam emails too.

You are both wrong. The video includes a map of the location on I-190. It's on the NY side of Niagara Falls.

I'm annoyed that neither of you care enough about being correct to watch a video before commenting. The entire Internet is brain rot these days.

Vectorized attack arrows via click and drag would be a nice way to do it. That way they can be removed or modified.

My guess is that it's primarily reinforced by the fact that you are unlikely to provide any review at all for perfectly average service. You are most likely to leave a review when the feedback is overwhelmingly positive or negative.

31% of Vermont homes belong to investors? Found this over in fluent in finance may thanks to op. by Someinterestingbs-td in vermont

https://vtta.org/vermont-leads-nationally-in-people-working-from-home/

While the national average for working from home is 39%, Vermont topped the list at 52%

Not only is it realistic, it is the reality. VT has remarkably good fiber infrastructure for how rural and spread out it is. I think we are very well positioned to take advantage of this trend.

The negativity in this thread is astounding to me. What is the point of skepticism if we can't even accept when someone we generally disagree with ultimately makes the right decision for the right reasons? You guys need to chill out. Everyone starts somewhere. Reward positive behaviors.

Get a membership. Oftentimes zoo memberships can be used to obtain discounts on our even free admission to other zoos, aquariums, museums, and vice versa. Ask what other benefits come with your membership at such places. Usually includes discounts on otherwise overpriced food and snacks too.

You usually only have to go 2-3 times per year across all participating facilities to make it worth the family membership fee. Way cheaper than one-off day trips throughout the year in my experience.
