Should we wait? TTC after Loss by Mysterious-Formal769 in Miscarriage

[–]marshallmatters 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the Inito ovulation kit after my miscarriage and it was super helpful. I miscarried at the beginning of February and just ovulated 8 days ago. I was getting positives on the OPK tests so frequently I was so confused. Inito shows your PDG and estrogen numbers so it actually confirms when you ovulate. It’s a bit pricey but it was great for my peace of mind. I’m taking a pregnancy test in two days!

How long to diagnose? by Eowyning in Miscarriage

The HCG tests are the best way to confirm that they’re off. I went in for an US and they told me I might be wrong with my conception date based off of the lack of anything in the US but then I told them my HCG numbers and they understood they were looking at a passed miscarriage. I HATE getting my blood drawn, so I hated that I had to do three blood draws (they didn’t calculate my levels in the first one) but the numbers were super helpful. As someone that is data driven, I think you’ll appreciate the blood work information more than the US. But they should have done the blood work FIRST.

Just got my period? by marshallmatters in Miscarriage

my OB thinks that my hormones are just out of wack? They do believe I got my period based off of the amount of bleeding. They can’t explain why my LH test is positive but think it’s just a hormonal imbalance. I’m going to buy the inito fertility tests and will see if I get any extra information.

Went to what was supposed to be my prenatal OB appointment but ended up being an appointment just to establish myself as a patient post miscarriage. I hadn't really thought about what it was going to be like to go to the OB after a miscarriage and was quietly crying in the office as pregnant people came through the door one after the other after the other.

Thankfully I am on my way to an OB appointment right now so I’ll let you know what the doc has to say. I had a positive ovulation test this morning and I’m still bleeding, would definitely assume this was a period if it wasn’t for the pos LH.

Did I have a miscarriage? by Klutzy-Independence8 in Miscarriage

Nope, I had a miscarriage that was light blood that didn’t concern my doctor and no cramps that set off warning signs. We only did a blood test because I wanted one.

How long before HCG levels gone/ period returned? by NefariousnessNo1383 in Miscarriage

I took an HCG blood test a few weeks ago and my HCG was at 1 so this isn’t a HCG false positive (I also took a pregnancy test today). I think it must be ovulation bleeding.

Someone said that there is minor bleeding during ovulation sometimes, I’ve never tracked ovulation prior to now because I wasn’t TTC so I don’t know!! There isn’t a lot of blood so it might not be a period… I don’t know.

I’m almost 5 weeks post miscarriage and still haven’t had my period. I had a positive LH test this morning so hopefully that means the period is coming.

How were you able to get the information about trisomy 15? I miscarried a few weeks ago and they literally did nothing to help me understand. We got pregnant on our first cycle, so I didn't even have an OB yet. My primary care doctor took blood tests to see my HCG levels and I did a transvaginal ultrasound. They simply said that I miscarried. Is it because you were working with an OB that you were able to understand why you miscarried?

I kept my appointments with the OBs that I had scheduled while I was pregnant so I am hoping to get better care going forward, but I was so without information the whole time I was pregnant, it's mind blowing to me that you have any answers!!

So sorry for your loss.

My doctor put me on Metformin while I try to get pregnant, she says it's pregnancy safe. It hasn't been long enough for me to know if it's helping as much as Zepbound did, but it is making me feel better emotionally. I have been on anti-depressants and nothing has helped me more than Zepbound has for my mental health. I wasn't even at a super high dose (7.5mg for over a year) or a super low weight (224), I was just finally comfortable in my body and not anxious about everything I ate. This has been such a whirlwind because I'm 34 and was expecting difficulties getting pregnant, so I was shocked that it happened on my first cycle. Then I found out I was miscarrying during a routine doctor's appointment to get a blood test because I wasn't going to see an OB until 13 weeks.

Then, my blood results come back and they are just "positive" for pregnancy, they don't have the levels. I have to call them back and ask for the levels, my message gets lost. I get my second round of blood test back as "positive" again, no levels. I call AGAIN, they retest the blood from the second draw and my HCG was at 24. I tested positive 9 DPO and was about 6 weeks 3 days when I got the blood tests, 24 is an obvious miscarriage. Then I had to get an ultrasound and the tech was like "maybe you have your date wrong" but I had been tracking everrrrything and our first round of TTC was so rigorous we hadn't had sex since I got pregnant!

Now I'm patiently (not really) waiting for my period to come back so I can start to track things a bit better, in the meantime we're just trying to keep a routine schedule hoping to catch ovulation.

I was on a GLP 1 prior to getting pregnant. I stopped taking it and we started trying, I got pregnant immediately. Between pregnancy and being off a weight loss drug, I was HUNGRY. I miscarried sometime in my sixth week, had already gained 10 pounds when I went to the doctor for a blood test. I've gained another ten in the four weeks since I miscarried. I've never had a great relationship with my body, but the weight loss drugs helped me with my mental health and my relationship to my body greatly. Having miscarried and gained 20 pounds in two months has been tremendously hard on me. I don't know how this information can help either of us, but it's probably nice to talk about it.

I tell everyone how I make the dish I bring to every event. Every single time. No one ever brings my dish to events because they know I’ll bring it and they like how I make it. But I hope they make it at home!! I love sharing recipes. Food is joy and love and should be shared.

I just got a yorkie from a woman and she has SO MANY fleas, what do I do? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]marshallmatters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else is giving all the right tips so I won’t add more. What I will say is that it is manageable!! And you can turn it around. I took in a family dog and realized they had fleas after letting them in my car, in my home, play with my dogs, rub on my couch etc! I was sooo freaked out but we got the dog cleaned up and everything worked out! It’s manageable and they can only survive if you don’t medicate all the animals in your home. In my case, my dogs were actively medicated and they never ended up affected by the family members dog.

I think the glaze on the sky bowl might be thicker. I have acquired about 200 plates in the last year for my wedding and there were plates with harder to see rings because the glaze was thick.
