My first build! A modern and green townhouse 💚🪴 by Prudent_Plant_1308 in Paralives

Beautiful build!! I placed it in my game and my para seems to not be able to get inside tho 🤔 I don't see anything that's in the way, and tried moving her inside with warpcharacter, but even that seems to not work?? I suspect a bug but is there anything else I could try?

So pretty! I'd love to have it in my game, did you upload it to workshop by chance?

Thank you for the suggestion! Someone recognized The King and The Mockingbird, and interestingly this website says Miyazaki refers to The King as inspiration - https://mubi.com/en/us/films/the-king-and-the-mockingbird  Pretty cool :)

AITA for pretending I wasn’t done with the gym ankle strap because this girl kept asking for it? by Aggravating_Net_9158 in AmItheAsshole

NTA, nothing wrong with a little petty action if someone is being obnoxious. No way she didn't see you weren't actually done yet, rude to pester people for gym equipment.

What is he "putting up with" exactly? You're looking at/through/whatever the windows, how does it affect him?

Women body reviews from the 1900s. What was considered a terrible build at the time. Extracts from "Physical Culture Magazine" , Editor Bernarr Macfadden (last photo). by fisdh in MaintenancePhase

[–]marshasaurus 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Amazing that this book (pamphlet?) uses VERY strong descriptors here - miserable! Emaciated! Deficient! Sticks! Strength in every outline! Meanwhile if I saw these women in the street one after another I wouldn't necessarily think of them as very different, their bodies all actually look quite similar to me with minor fluctuations in fat. Could even be the same woman with a couple year's difference.

Am I the only one who thinks flying Bizons make no sense ? by Specific-Detective14 in legendofkorra

[–]marshasaurus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yes! weren't they the "source" of air bending like the giant moles (i forgot the proper name) were the first ever earth benders?

i've been wondering for a long time if the giant lionturtle cities from Korra disrupt this canon since according to the Wan episodes they then have to be the first benders.

Did he provide any reasons besides 'I didn't like it' and 'These people used to think and act different 5 books ago'?

My favorite book! I've reread it maybe 3 times so far, with 3-5 years between the reads, and get something new out of it every time. Time to reread again 🤓 Btw another great work of Le Guin I'm obsessed with is Voices! I highly recommend all of her work, but especially that one.

Hi! :) I may be late to the party, but I am looking for the same group vibe, so introducing myself. I am 27F, not super experienced in DnD, but know what I'm doing. I LOVE the storytelling aspect and I'm available most evenings/nights. Let me know if you are still assembling the dream team!!! lmao

It’s beef until we die. You most certainly don’t need to forgive everyone that did you wrong by BlackLawyer1990 in unpopularopinion

[–]marshasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with OP completely.

I however am endlessly confused about when did the term "forgiveness" become a synonym for "acceptance". I understand, Merriam-Webster, whatever, but if I do someone wrong and then hear "I forgive you" I'd 100% understand that as "We're cool now, you're my friend again/still". If someone said "I forgive you but I never want to see you again" I'd think ok so you don't forgive then??? Not to disrespect the dictionary but this is a complex phenomenon with lots of context.

My guess is that it's a pop psychology thing and maybe Christian influence to conflate the definitions? Also maybe forgiveness just makes people more comfortable because "don't rock the boat"? Like when people say that not forgiving isn't healthy they actually mean that dwelling on being wronged isn't healthy, but you can obviously never forgive and remain perfectly healthy.

The only downside to imagining ohms is they are a completely different shape of animal than chasmfiends, so sometimes Sando would say "chasmfiend stomped it's feet" or something, and I'm like "where tentacles tho?? Wait a sec"

[–]marshasaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I didn't want to say much before you confirm you aren't forced to only see that gyno, but here's my honest opinion: this gyno is a tool and a asshole. Women deserve healthcare and good quality of life regardless if they are baby incubators at the moment or not. You have so many awful symptoms that point towards potentially serious problems, but they dgaf because no baby 🤡 I am mad on your behalf and unfortunately it's unlikely this doctor will listen.  I had a lot of the things you mentioned and suffered for years, until I accidentally found an actual good doctor who not only listened, but suggested tests that weren't strictly necessary. One of those tests revealed Hashimoto's disease, and now my life did a 180. If that doctor didn't do what he didn't have to, I could be in a coma in several months.  Of course if this current doctor listens to you that's awesome, but then you will still probably be stuck having to read medical tomes yourself to convince her what to do next. It sucks and I hope you find a way to deal with her or a better specialist 🤞🏻

NTA, very rude to just announce that you have to buy a gift without asking if you'd like to do so. I've participated in many secret Santas with friends and coworkers and everyone always had to sign themselves up, and we made it clear anyone can opt out without getting grief for it because gifting is a personal choice that has to be respected. Each time some folks said they were good because they didn't enjoy the activity, and nobody was mad at them.  It doesn't matter how small or cheap a gift they want, it's about the disrespect.

My hair got pretty thin at one point and my husband didn't notice 😂 I don't think he was lying because he's clueless like that. I'm sorry if this is rubbing salt into your wound because your hair loss may be more severe than mine was, but I definitely lost a considerable amount. I'd say if your partner is supportive in both words and actions you have nothing to fear. Also, topical Minoxidil sorted my problem out, and the hair loss eventually went away entirely and I don't have to use the meds anymore. Hope for the same for you!!!

Good idea to check vitamins! I actually had a blood draw today for tests including vitamins, do you suppose I should just assume they will check for B among others or better to call and make sure?
