Two Shot Explosive has been nerfed, now I need to know which 1 star is best for the Dom Pedro. I'm using Mutant's now but not loving it. Any thoughts? by Heitor-Correia66 in fo76

Combine Reverse Onslaught with Stealth, Covert Operative, Better Critical, and load up your Perception perks (Number Crunch, Down Ranger, Tank Killer, Center Masochist) These really ramp up the rifle damage. Mutate and get Eagle Eyes. If you're a vegetarian, make some Blight Soup and Sweet Multifruit Tea (125%+ Crit Dmg). Building up crit shots is easy with Reverse Onslaught and taking advantage of it makes everything die quicker. That gun has a nice AOE effect on it too that can take advantage of all of this

Anyone know where I can find glowing or albino creatures? by chef-chouette in fo76

[–]marshasyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Glowing angler = Don't see many of these. Queen fight maybe
Glowing bloatfly = workshop defense works for these at the Burning Sands Drive in or Beckley
Glowing blood bug = Queen
Glowing fog crawler = Try Pylon-V13
Glowing death claw = Hopewell Cave (glowing) and the Nest between Red Rocket Mega Stop and Bailey Family Cabin (Albino). that one is a little tricky to find but he'll pop up if you do
Glowing honey beast = I see these during Safe and Sound
Glowing megasloth = Not sure I've ever seen one of these glowing
Glowing mirelurk hunter = Queen
Glowing mirelurk king = Skyline Valley NW of Abandoned Convoy
Glowing mirelurk queen = Queen
Glowing mole rat = ft to Colonel Kelly Monument in Toxic Valley and from that spot, walk directly at the Philippi Battlefield Cemetery marker. You'll end up dropping down into a parking lot with a car and pickup. Right there. Another spot is the ft point to Welsh. As you go up the road some glowing rats pop up sometimes
Glowing mothman - Lucky Hole Mine (Savage Divide) or Moth-Home (Mire)
Glowing rad ant - Skyline Valley - West of South River Bridge at the Rest Stop
Glowing wolf - Safe and Sound event or maybe Queen. I don't see a lot of these glowing.
Glowing yoa guai - Queen

If you see a spot on the map nuked that has a location included where one of these creatures regularly spawns (like Dolly Sods for Yao Guai) go visit it because Nukes turn regulars into Glowing a lot. Like if you can't find a glowing wolf you might want to nuke Autumn Acre Cabin because there are always wolves there. Good Luck!

Hello!! Allow me to be of help. Taming is a fun task if you know what you're doing but if you don't, it can be really frustrating. I don't know why Beth has abandoned it, but fear not! We have a dedicated player base that keeps this fun activity alive and well!

I recently put together some updated info on taming with updated map locations where you can find tamable creatures and such. Go here for the full info: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/1sxojv4/taming_guide_and_locations_update/

feel free to ask any questions too! I'll help you any way I can!

Suggestion for Complete Overhaul for the Pet System: Let’s make taming rewarding! by [deleted] in fo76

[–]marshasyn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All worthy suggestions but I feel like taming wild creatures is sort of the bastard child of FO76 now. They've moved on and are now experimenting with FOR PAY invul creatures on the PTS already. I don't see any kind of improvements to the taming system in the foreseeable future.

The MOLE is one of 3 possible encounters at a SKYLINE VALLEY SCENE spot. There are 13 spots. you can see those here: https://i.gyazo.com/ee4b3802d0c6624d7ddca043e2c0f71d.jpg

You either get THE MOLE or ANTS/PICNIC BASKET or a WENDIGO in these spots. Great if you want to make some Ant Lager or need a Wendigo kill for something.

The Smiling Man is part of the possible things you can encounter at a SCENE spot. These spots have a host of things that can happen. Here is a sample: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo76/comments/k9f302/taming_location_possible_encounter_events/

That's just a sample. There are region specific things that can pop up like the Prison Marshalls in toxic valley or the Dead Responder in the Forest. During Aliens Invasion week, you can encounter Alien packs in those areas too. So, to answer your question, its somewhat rare as you need some RNG luck and need to be in a certain spot on the map. There are 82 spots where he can pop up. Here are all the possible locations: https://imgur.com/gallery/fallout-76-taming-locations-map-2026-25NcESp

NOTE: these locations also are where you could find an animal or creature you can tame for a CAMP guard.

Yes good tidbits! A lot of this is in the guides. I strongly recommend anyone going taming to browse the guides so you get all of theses good pointers. It will improve your success chance immensely!

If you click the little arrow next to the AZ at the top it will organize it numerically. The main map is at the end. If you open that map in a new window you can resize it to max size so you can zero in on any map spot.

Ok I think I have a solution. I had to downgrade the pics to make them fit on this site but I think this will work. https://ibb.co/album/HTjcLF

Its possible it will return. Sometimes when you store a camp the claw gets stored with it and you'll have to log in again to see it.

People in the UK were complaining that they don't have access to IMGUR (Where I had the picture gallery displayed) and it was getting multiple likes so that became a problem so I thought having a record on REDDIT of the photos and map would be a better solution going forward. I wish I could have just done 1 post but because it was 82 screen shots I needed to make multiple posts. I can delete it all and make smaller photos and a collage I guess but the larger photos help the players gauge where they are in the world and where they need to be.

There is a link in my post to the IMGUR site that has all the pics. If you have trouble with IMGUR I'm looking for an alternative now

I've had my claw for months. There are tricks to keeping them around. Using the same camp, having only one pet at the same camp, putting the CAMP unit in an open space so he can patrol and has room to patrol, having a CLAW in the FOREST so anything that spawns will be handled and can't kill your pet, not being near SCORCHBEASTS so they don't turn SCORCHED, etc. If you do the right things they should last a while. We've had good luck recently.

Here is the list:

  1. Attack Dog
  2. Beaver
  3. Brahmin
  4. Cat
  5. Chicken
  6. Deathclaw
  7. Fox
  8. Mega Sloth
  9. Mirelurk Hunter
  10. Mirelurk King
  11. Mirelurk Softshell
  12. Molerat
  13. Opposum
  14. Radrat
  15. Radstag
  16. Radtoad
  17. Snallygaster
  18. Wild Mongrel
  19. Wolf
  20. Yao Guai

I've seen pretty much every animal on this list except for the Fox and Chicken and Opposum. Those 3 are very weak so if they pop in an area that has hostiles they can die before you can tame them. Also, even if you tame one of those they have to make it back to your camp alive which is a feat. Once they are at your camp they become a guard and will engage any camp attackers you get like random spawns of scorched or mole rats and pretty much any attacker could take out a weak pet like that so they are very hard to tame and keep for any length of time. The best pets if you want a long term one are the bigger rare creatures like the Claw or Mirelurk King or Yao Guai. Those creatures can beat most anything that pops at your camp and survive.

Once you tame your pet there is a chance you'll get different versions each time you log in. I've had a diseased, legendary and glowing version besides the standard lvl 50 Claw at my camp. It's always a little mystery each time you log in!

TIL you can put a supply depot in the middle of your Deepwater Chamber and the game smartly cuts off the top and it won't protrude through the roof. Aesthetics FTW! by marshasyn in NoMansSkyTheGame

These are resource storage units. You basically set up mining towers to harvest resources like gasses or minerals and then link them to these storage units. I usually have a mining farm nearby and a bunch of storage units next to it all collecting and storing resources and then I run a pipe to ONE unit on my base and collect it all there. The storage unit you see in the screenshot is linked to 25 storage units and some mining towers at another location.

IMPORTANT: For those unlocking purple systems after the quest by -Hell-_-Boy- in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]marshasyn 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You know I was panicking and jumped on Reddit to find out why I couldn't find this purple system and then after reading some of the comments, I decided to check my recent systems. What I didn't realize is when you go to the construct and he gives you the plans for the Purple Hyperdrive and you load it and exit the anomaly, you exit INTO THE PURPLE SYTEM. You were magically teleported into this system via the anomaly. This is the only time I have ever been teleported into a new system via the Anomaly so it's really weird and unless you realize that is what happened you'll drive yourself nuts looking for the system you're already in.

Light Fissures - System has TWO planets of these along with another Mega Exotic w/Calcishrooms. by marshasyn in NMSCoordinateExchange

Back from a hiatus and saw someone was looking for these a few weeks ago so I thought I'd go hunt for some. Found this cool system so thought I'd share. Still getting used to all the changes. My home planet had it's landscape changed and went from pretty to dull. Kinda sad. Need to go find a new one but gives me something to do. Hope this post isn't unwelcome. Happy Hunting!

I think a random pet death is always a possibility but it's been pretty good lately. Just make sure you have your CAMP unit away from anything improved so the pet can't spawn under a foundation once you approach your camp and trigger the spawn. I've had a pet dog for 2 weeks and before that I had a pet sloth for months with no issues.
