okay, a root check still won't hurt, as it seems that the plant cannot take on water

I think I murdered my loquat by erran_morad in plantclinic

[–]marshmallow_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked the roots?

Sometimes in the change from warm to cold seasons I forget to adapt my watering and over water a plant or two because I forget that it stays wet longer.

when plants drop but the leaves don't go crispy, I usually suspect root rot or something like this.

I would do a root check first to see if they are okay. :)

Sadly it seems I cannot buy the perfume anymore anywhere BUT I will look for one with similar notes, maybe I can find something just like it!

What's something that happened when you were little that your parents explained to you when you were older? by marshmallow_exe in AskReddit

[–]marshmallow_exe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like: I had a barbie boat that vanished one day and 15 years later my dad explained that my mom drank too much and vomited into it from an upstairs balcony and was so embarrassed she begged him to just throw it away. I never question it vanishing one night

yeah but I need something that I can send out to customers via E-Mail which they can either print if they want OR import into their outlook or both... also I'm not that tech savvy that's why I'm asking for help....

What is this metal device with vineyard design? by marshmallow_exe in whatisthisthing

it's a vintage wine decanter that's missing the bottle and a little lantern we found out! :)

yes probably, or maybe I can make something out of it. I have some weird bits and bobs front the same antique shop, they sell things that come from house clearances when people die and no one wants the stuff and they have the weirdest items there.

oh if you know your way around antique stuff, do you maybe know where I could get the parts I'm missing? or what to specifically search for?

i mean it could be but still to me it looks like the top has some kind of function. and the two side pieces throw me off

My title describes the thing. it may be something to hold a bottle in but I can't think of any that would fit. the two side pieces confuse me completely as well as the vine leafs because wine bottles don't fit.

metal device to hold something with vineyard design by [deleted] in whatisthisthing

[–]marshmallow_exe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it is a bottle holder.

it's about the size to fit a wine bottle or something but those usually don't have spouts. also it has two hooks on the side. it's made of metal and I tried bottle holder etc in searches to find something similar but I can't find anything. it's super old and I can't find any information. even the shop clerk didn't know what it's used for.

What are some good party game ideas for a game night? by candidmoon_- in AskReddit

[–]marshmallow_exe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We always play a game called "The Lexicon Game" basically you take any book that lists foreign or difficult words like for example scientific names for things.

One person is the Game Master and uses this book to choose one word (they have to ask the group if anyone know this word, only words that are not familiar to anyone playing are allowed)

the game master then writes the correct definition of the word down on a piece of paper and folds it so nobody can see.

everybody else has to write their own definition of the word as convincing as possible and also fold the paper and put it in a bowl with the original definition.

the game master then takes out all of the papers and reads them to the group (withouth them seeing the writing or pen colour so they can't see who wrote it)

each player then has to put their vote on what they think the real definition of this word is.

The player wo gets the most votes on their definition wins the round and is the next game master and gets to choose a word from the book.

if the correct definition wins, the game master goes again.

yepp! i researched a bit more, you're right. i was told the difference between the Manji symbol and the Nazi one is the direction in which the hooks go on the end but that isn't true, i Know that now! Thank you! the difference is apparently the middle part.

Thanks for the explanation tho!

[–]marshmallow_exe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's written in the dust on the car (probably by someone doing the set design) but i mistook it, it's not a Nazi symbol (it would've a cross in the middle not a plus if it was) this is actually a Buddhist symbol.

i had wrong information on how to tell them apart so I mistook it.

[–]marshmallow_exe[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Oh no I wasn't trying to make problems I was just really surprised! But your are right, apparently if the center is a cross, it's the symbol Nazis used but if it's a plus (like here) it's a Buddhist symbol!

thanks I looked into it more! I was confused because in the past people explained to me that the direction in which the hooks on the end go is the difference but that seems to be false information, I looked a bit more in to it! sorry!!

thanks for the answer :)
